Riff is based. He used to dress like Miami Beach Sleeze with the wing breakers bright pants/ basketball shoes but nowadays he’s more like Volleyball core with the pit vipers and muscle shirts and mullet. He’s also huge on bling and grillz since he’s from Houston.
It was some shit during the early 10s, but I can’t really put my finger on it for a name because I don’t think it really had a name, the closest thing I can call it is rave. 80s/early 90s style neon colors had a brief comeback between like 2013-2012(2013?), think shit like galaxy leggings, people wearing vintage 90s windbreakers, and whatever those kind of jackets you see Riff Raff wearing in this picture.
Hipsters were doing this shit to, and as I said ravers. Whole lotta garrish shit, animal prints, neon colored animal prints, colored skinny jeans, and a whole lot of other bright shit. LMFAO, Das Racist, and some other bands were doing this shit too. I think it was an offshoot of hipster shit, since that stuff was mixing with hip-hop and rave culture in. the early 10s.
Back then a lot of that shit was posted on /fashion/ and Tumblr (before spergs took it over).
I didn’t dress like that back then, but damn is it one of the things that make me miss that era.
Totally separate thing. Hypebeast were based around limited sneaker drops and somewhere between being hyped on high fashion and streetwear. Hypebeast were not the wild prints and neon shit, this was a totally different scene at the time There’s always some cross, but that ultra gaudy bright look was not hypebeast.
It was bloghaus, in the UK that "Nu-rave" shit, and it cross with hip-hop, and along with dubstep kicked off that 10s era of EDM, when you did have rappers collabing with edm artists at a high clip. If you weren’t around to experience that era it’s kind of hard to understand, because even though it was firmly placed on the internet back then it seems like no one remembers the shit much. There were a lot of blogs, youtube channels etc that documented the era, parties and shit.
Stuff like the Cobra Snake and Last Nights Party, but a lot it is dead and gone.

Posers are posers regardless of skin colour.

and? you have severe neuroses
Once these dudes hit 35 they’re going to regret it all. Once they’re 40 and getting fat and their skin is loose they’ll probably kill themselves
Riff Raff is 41, keep your common wisdom to yourself.
If you have the personality, you have it, like Nicholas Cage or Rick Flair.
legendary fit, never forget
