Crossbody/ Shoulder Bags

Is anyone using one?
I’ve been looking for something simple just for like my phone, a powerbank, wallet, keys, and my kindle with dedicated organizers/pockets so not just a single big compartment that everything slides around in.

Was looking at the Black Ember Kompak but it’s almost 150€ here in EU, which feels like way too much.
Does anyone know of any alternatives that are vaguely similar? Maybe a bit thinner if possible?
I don’t really like slingbacks either, I’m a bit of a scarecrow built-wise and they look hecking stupid on me compared to this messenger style.

Those City Packs look pretty nice but they are so expensive I feel like I might as well just go for the Black Ember one with more organisation features, a magnetic flap for the quick access that I’d carry my phone in, and a bit less obnoxious branding.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they’re handy. But just like the old bucket hat, no matter the utility, you run the risk of being perceived as a moron. Fanny pack might be better.

I sometimes wear bucket hats for sun protection too, these are all generic/versatile enough accessories that it’s stupid to ascribe them to any particular demographic in my opinion.

        bellroy makes great bags.

Just saw there’s ones for 80€ too but the bellroy branded leather tag on them looks really hecking bad.
Wonder if it’s possible to easily remove that with a seam ripper or if they did any heckery like sewing it into the seam that’s used for the actual construction…

I use a Ted Baker London one to carry my medical supplies and whatever else I need. Subtle matte grey, doesn’t look gaygy or nigcore

Which one do you have? The ones I saw all had huge logos plastered all over them which looks really hecking tacky.

It was called a "flight bag" I think, bought it at Nordstrom. The only logo is a small rubber patch in the corner

I have the Kompak and it’s not that good. Cant fit shit in it and the clamshell opening is more annoying than useful.

I didn’t really think about the clamshell before, can you not just unzip the top facing part and stick your hand in to pull out whatever you need?
The construction doesn’t look that rigid, I feel like you should be able to pretty easily

Not being able to fit very much into it is kinda the point though, it’s not supposed to carry more than a handful of small items, at least not in my case.

I have one of these and I’ve concluded that they’re worthless. You may as well carry those few things they can hold in your pockets and go with no bag at all. What can they even hold? Keys, wallet, phone, maybe a pack of tissues. That’s it. You’re better off with a messenger bag but messenger bags also suck because as soon as you load them a bit they’ll bite in your shoulder.

Stuffing your pockets full of shit is one of the absolute least fashionable things you can do
It completely ruins your shilouette and transforms your entire body into a bulbous looking mess
Even just putting your cellphone into a pants pocket looks, and feels, like dogshit

Still better than using one of those terrible sling bags. Personally I hate putting stuff in my pockets and I carry a few extra things, so now I use a small backpack. I came here to look for a backpack thread actually, /out/ focuses on hunting and tactiLARP shit.

I have one of these, was like 15 bucks
Looks like ass and feels like ass but it’s really flat so I carry it under my jacket and it’s basically invisible

H&M had them on sale for like, 5 dollars. that looks nice but if you’re paying more than 20 bucks for one you’re getting fleeced.

This is what I use, except it’s a darker blue and from around 2013 I think https://ie.takemore.net/le-coq-sportif/chronic-small-item-skydiver-1410419
Back when I got it , it was a promo thing I got with buying addidas shoes in our mall in Bulgaria.
I thought I wouldn’t use it much but I’ve unironically found it super useful. They are quite prominent in eastern Europe and they are worn for function, because jamming everything into your pockets is always horrible.
Ops one seems very extra with all those pockets but I guess if you have the money and will end up using those extra sections it’s fine.

can you take the tag off on these?
looks pretty good otherwise but i hate the thought of being a walking billboard for carhartt
