Why do I feel like I constantly smell bad?

Why do I feel like I constantly smell bad?

When I shower at night I put on deodorant/antipersperant. When I wake up I can smell bo from my pits.

I shower in the morning as part of my routine and by the middle of the day I smell bad again.

I’m about to go into the gym and put on more deodorant and by the time I leave I can smell myself again.

Literally what do I do????

Do you live in a hot climate?

Also: apply baby powder to your pits along with antiperspirant

      Bad idea

gonna piggyback this thread to ask, what deodorant do you guys recommend? I was thinking of picking up old spice swagger, anyone have good experience with this? been using basically nobrand stuff this whole time

Prefer cheap stuff that doesn’t smell too much of anything. I love wearing perfume though

Shower with warm water and rinse off with cold or just take cold showers

You might have sebaceous issues get checked out

BTW get rid of the antiperspirant

Nothing wrong with a musky guy imo. Women like a lil stank, as long as it mixes well with your cologne and deodorant. When women go to buy perfume, they factor in if it combines with their "natural scent" well. Just stink it up my man, confidence is always key.

I heard you’re actually supposed to put your deodorant on at night before you go to bed. Then it lasts the day. Not so much like whatever fun scent you paid for, but just less like sweat. Maybe try it out and see if it helps.

This is a little intense, but not completely untrue. I’ve been approached on the street by women a hand-full of times in my life 4/5 I was dressed in dirty clothing and sweating profusely after finishing work. So if you do catch yourself dirtier than you’d like in public, know that maybe you’re not as revolting as you think. Still try to generally not smell bad though.

yeah this. back in school i’d only shower once a week. i could easily smell myself, so the copious deoderant i wore obv didn’t mask it. yet girls would cuddle into me and tell me i smell nice, especially when i smelled my worst. i’m not so bad these days, but girls still get touchy-feely as i awkwardly protest that i haven’t showered.

just shower in the morning and find a deo that works for you. For some reason fresh and sport scents smell weird and tangy on me but regular ones smell good. I’d shower in the morning because stale sweat is what causes bo fresh sweat will smell but not that bad.

shower in morning and put on deodorant right after you shower. also put corn starch in your ass crack. and also change your diet.

    >Antibacterial shower soap
Body odor comes from your body’s bacteria eating dead skin and shitting. Yes. Science major here. This is a normal process. But it causes an undesirable stink, obviously. Antibacterial soap will keep skin microbes under control.

    >Antiperspirant/deodorant
Make sure the label says "antiperspirant."

    >Shower daily in the warm seasons
Preferably at the beginning of the day

If its an odd stink or ‘new’ smell of BO (different to the kind you get from doing hard physical exercise) then check for candida/yeast/fungal infection in your armpits and use clotrimozole (as directed) to get rid of it. Mayybe get medical opinion before starting I dunno I’m not a doctor cause that’d be hecking lame.

This was me. Not only did I think I smell bad, people would point it out. The fix was just switching from my shitty natural arm and hammer deodorant from Amazon to old spice.

While we’re on the topic of smell, What do you guys clean your clothes with? For the last two years I’ve only been using water only to go along with my no poo routine.

I use unscented everything. soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, antiperspirant, and even hand soap. the only stuff I have that has a scent are things that I cant get without their scent (shaving cream and witch hazel for my skincare), my aftershave (pinaud clubman), and perfume, which I wear only occasionally. I get scent mires once a week. just keep yourself clean. It’s very simple.

most likely it’s only you thinking that, ask some friends to sniff you and tell their opinion

never put deodorant on your skin, just put it onto your shirt. Might confuse your glands and make you stinky. Are youf fat? then good luck

How often do you change your bedsheets? They absorb sweat alot and changing and cleaning them once a month combats the smells lingering on you.
