It’s so weird how quickly it got taken over by tech autismos and gun nuts. Previously it was only for finance dudes to LARP as mountaineers in their private time and never ever wear to work as casualwear.
I think on my jacket I’ll either cut the tag off or sew something over it? It’s not just about being embarrassed to wear patagonia now, it’s that if other people are aware that it is a gay neoliberal brand you end up being offensive to other people
I don’t think it’s the clothes, it’s the way you sound and carry your own voice, if you’re doing outdoorsy stuff, having that california valley girl upspeak and vocal fry while is enough to make your presence offensive to other people.
LL Bean is my preference. Otherwise there are billions of clothes of similar material and cut from all the business that have a hand in consumer mass production. Same shit, different name like Columbia, Cosco/Sams Club, Eddie Bauer almost literally free at thrift. At a life crossing point from material plane to higher plane all clothes lose their value, that’s the pill.
LL bean quality nowadays is dogshit, Patagonia hasn’t changed
>wearing recycled plastic bottles scooped out of the poop river in india for a premium
no thanks man im good!
I don’t wear plastic and i like my clothes NOT to be from recycled materials.
Nigga you are plastic, eat plastic, wear plastic, who cares if the plastic is recycled, anything you wear most than likely has recycled plastic, i got shit from Patagonia that’s more than 10 years old and still looks new
I like Carharrt WIP more. Patagonia is all plastic. Carharrt WIP is organic cotton
I like Carhartt really decent quality, it holds up pretty nice

You’re currently posting on a fashion board you delusional hecking stupid.
>they pioneered organic cotton and they’re also doing hemp fabrics
That’s the good stuff. I don’t know why they put so much emphasis on the recycled plastic stuff since as the other pointed out here
> recycled plastic bottles but for $200+
No thanks
that should make it cheaper for me to buy, not the opposite.
I have some of these expedition baselayers. I lived in them for 2 months (in patagonia) very cozy and barely smelled.
Their outerwear (fashion) seems to have been gobbled up by wonks, I’m not paying $50 for a used pair of short shorts buddy
I ordered these jeans knowing Patagonia is neoliberal brainrot but I still liked the design. I’m also gonna get a few puffer jackets/vests from North Face
I am hecked for supporting these pozzed brands but there don’t seem to be any alternatives

It was always really popular with frat types, which bled out into business- and tech-bros.
Not hugely fond of this. I don’t want to feel like wearing a jacket is making some political statement.

it’s all plastic garbage that will take centuries to break down
This Patagonia would be alright if they didn’t feel the need to put a big dollop of "recycled" slop in every garment
they pioneered organic cotton and they’re also doing hemp fabrics, particularly in their workwear.

recycling plastic is and has always been more expensive than producing virgin plastic.

their baselayers and their wind gear is still really good
>muh wool baselayers

Their hemp clothes are good tier. The work pants and work shirts and work jackets specifically. Will last you a lifetime.

Love my baggies short.
As a brand they’re more outdoor lifestyle for liberal westcoasters and weekend hikers.
No. I am not gay. I wear things made from animals as much as I can because natural fibers are superior.
