Literally no one thinks this and docs haven’t been ‘working boots’ since AT LEAST the seventies and counter culture since the 80s.

They’re fashion shoes. That’s hecking all.

    • Anonymous says:

You can definitely still work in docs once you break them in, they’re made to be used and abused you hecking /fashion/ggot

Who the heck shows up to a construction site in crocs? You obviously don’t work.

people wear em in kitchens a lot cuz they make nonslip Docs. I’ve also definitely seen people wear em at my work cuz we require steel toes if you’re on the factory floor even though its mostly just pushing buttons and moving stuff around.

you can get steel toes industrial docs, i used to wear them in the paint factory, they are more comfortable then hard soled boots. The industrial ones are also better quality then the fashion boots.

      • Anonymous says:

if you showed up to an actual blue collar job wearing hecking doc martens youd get labelled as the gay at best and hazed/fired at worst. They are fashion shoes bro nobody is working in them unless its at Starbucks making venti cum shakes

Anon has never done a real day of work in his life. He’s been brainwashed by the Doc’s shilling center.

I have worked in factories and warehouses laboring wearing my industrial steel toe version of doc martens, literally no one gives a shit, they are too busy working to give a heck about what footwear you are wearing, and you are not going to get sacked for wearing them, they are to industrial standards. You are talking shit. I wear them because they are more comfortable than the razor blade boots provided by employers, doc martens don’t only make the plastic shit as i mentioned here

These ones are pretty decent, the chinky and moron ones without a toecap suck

Nobody giving a heck about what you wear in your Amazon cuck-cage. This isn’t the same conversation as what’s a quality work boots. I’ve seen plenty of Yeezy’s and Jordan’s in factories but that doesn’t make them quality work footwear. Construction workers have higher standards since there’s are a lot more hazards on the job site. The only thing you’ve done is shown that you haven’t done any real work.

          • Anonymous says:

Factory work is blue collar work, no need to be snobbish brother we are all on the same boat. The ruling elites want the working class to fight each other. I was never in a cage either, i was moving about all the time time and there was the hazard of dropping shit on my toes all the time, one of the most parts of your work gear is having comfy boots, nasty ass uncomfortable boots will knacker you out more then anything else. You seem to get the idea doc martens only sell fashion boots, they don’t.
            >I’ve seen plenty of Yeezy’s and Jordan’s in factories but that doesn’t make them quality work footwear
sound like you worked in a place with low safety requirements, in every place i have worked you would be sent home for wearing trainers.
            >The only thing you’ve done is shown that you haven’t done any real work.
I have though, factory work is not as safe or as easy as you seem to think it is, and construction is not the only blue collar work there is, and again, why are you attacking people who belong to your own social class?. There is multiple ways to get killed in a factory or a warehouse, all it takes is one mistake.

            >factory workers wearing $200 dollar sneakers to work when many struggle to even pay the rent.
            Think you are talking bullshit.

          • Anonymous says:

Blacks are also required to follow safety rules, and why why would you ruin your expensive trainers in some dark and dingy factory, they can be dirty and dusty places.

This is why anon is spewing bullshit, most people don’t even want to spend that much on workwear for some shitty factory never mind wear expensive sneaker, the only reasons i wear industrial doc martens is because the sole is more comfortable and comfort helps when you are walking all the time not because i particularly like how they look they have also been making actual safety boots for 40 plus years.

          • Anonymous says:

They wear their worn-out Jordans, dumbass. Very few employers give you money for boots and even less check constantly to make sure you follow company policy, if there even is a policy. Wear your Chinese made ‘industrial boots’. Pay the Doc’s tax for a shitty boot. Just don’t shill them here for newfags that don’t know you can a better boot for the same price.

          • Anonymous says:

You don’t have health and safety inspectors, really? in my country if a health and safety inspector saw someone wearing trainers in a industrial environment the company would be in trouble and rightly so.

          • Anonymous says:

Construction sites are surveyed way more often for safety violations, and that’s mostly because of union involvement. Very few factory workers are part of a union, so standards are more lax. I saw a OSHA rep in a factory maybe once and even though sneakers were being worn in every department, nothing happened. I’m not a lawyer and I can’t tell you the law, I don’t spend too much time reading OSHA standards, and I sure don’t know of any safety footwear laws in my jurisdiction. All I can tell you what I’ve experienced.

          • Anonymous says:

The UK is more strict then, that wouldn’t fly here. The company would get fined at least, i have seen it happen.

          • Anonymous says:

Exactly, anon is full of shit, and him going on about people wearing fashion trainers like jordans in factories proves he is full of shit, by law employers have a duty to make sure you are wearing the correct safety workwear, he probably thinks working in a factory is just standing in the same spot all day using a machine for hours.

            >not knowing American labor laws

            Just admit you’ve never worked

          • Anonymous says:

Not american for a start, and i have been a cleaner, factory laborer and warehouse worker, bin man(garbage man to you yanks) among other things i am struggling to remember. Been there, done that.

Employers do enforce safety laws because if they don’t it will leave them open to being sued if a worker gets injured which costs far more than just enforcing them. It’s sounds like you have never worked more then anything, literally no one gives a heck i wear the industrial version of doc marten boots, some of my workmates thought they were cool and didn’t even know they made safety boots.

          • Anonymous says:

            >I’ve never worked in your country, don’t know what people expect there, and don’t know your labor laws but let me tell about how things are over there
I thought Europeans were supposed to have IQs above room temperature. I thought wrong.

          • Anonymous says:

You probably would get sued for farting in public in america so why is it unreasonable to assume companies would at least have some safety rules to cover their own backs?

Try not living in a shithole, also construction isn’t even the most dangerous job in the world anymore, it’s not like you are building a skyscraper in 1932 with no harnesses anymore so drop the elitist attitude, you are attacking the wrong people for a start.

          • Anonymous says:

Litigiousness is a privilege for the rich. If they have a lax enforcement of policy, but you decide to not follow it anyways, what’s really going to happen?
            >construction isn’t even dangerous
Are you shitting me? It does way more damage to your body and boots than some factory job. Step on a hecking construction site and finish a few jobs and get back to me.

          • Anonymous says:

            >Are you shitting me? It does way more damage to your body and boots than some factory job
It isn’t as dangerous anymore, not in the UK. In 99% percent of cases you have to be licensed, and you have to follow the safety rules or you get sacked, it used to be dangerous back in the sixties and seventies but not anymore. Just because construction is hard doesn’t mean factory work isn’t either, it’s monotonous, tiring at times and you CAN get killed in multiple ways. We are not in competition, we are both needed in this society we live in and we are both on the same boat.

          • Anonymous says:

This is a discussion about footwear. I’ve worked in a factory and in construction. You obviously haven’t. Low-quality boots are weeded out on construction sites, where there’s a lot more wear being done to them. This is why nobody is doing framing in Doc’s. If it works for you at your factory, great. Just don’t pass them off as God’s gift to earth when there are better options that are going to last a lot longer.

    >Weren’t they created to be cheap working boots for city slickers?
Doc martens were actually more expensive orthopedic boots when they came about in the sixties, thats why skinheads liked them, it was a status thing over you friends who wore cheaper work boots.

  3. Anonymous says:

They aren’t calling you a psychopath for your boots you hecking idiot. You’re probably just fat or ugly or something, and/or you make people uncomfortable.

who tf makes fun of guys wearing docs? theyre a bit more common among women, but there are plenty of men around me who wear them.

    • Anonymous says:

If you’re around dudes that wear docs, it’s a good sign that you’re a gay and you hang out with gays. Nobody complains about docs because unless your wearing something crazy, most people don’t care what you wear. Nobody goes up to a dude wearing cargo shorts and a graphic tee and makes fun of him, but that doesn’t mean he dresses well. You’re on the /fashion/shion board, expect to be critiqued on your /fashion/shion choices.

      • Anonymous says:

        >Nobody goes up to a dude wearing cargo shorts and a graphic tee and makes fun of him
Well, they will block you from entering a strip club if you’re wearing that

          • What Clothes Should You Avoid? says:

Sometimes, it’s easier to find out what NOT to wear. As mentioned, each club is unique, but there are some universal rules that most places enforce.

Here’s what you should probably avoid when heading to the strip club:

Shorts: Almost every strip club enforces a strict no shorts policy. Ultimately, the club is supposed to be a classy establishment, so turning up in shorts is a surefire way to get yourself refused entry.

Sneakers, Flip Flops/Sandals: For the same reason listed above, sneakers, flip flops, and sandals are all a big no-no when it comes to strip club attire. First of all, sneakers are far too casual for most club’s dress policy, although you may be able to get away with them in some places. Secondly, flip-flops and sandals will almost certainly see that you wind up being left outside the club. This is because open footwear poses a health hazard and an insurance risk due to the potential for broken glass on the floor. Plus, even if they did let you in, do you really want to be the guy in sandals while everyone else is suited and booted?

Tank Tops: Talk about casual! Tank-tops are definitely not permitted at the club. People are coming to look at the girls, not at your guns!

Ripped/ Overly Casual Jeans: This one is more subjective, but most places will not let you in with ripped jeans or extremely ill-fitting pants. While you may think it’s fashionable, the bouncers probably won’t agree. To stay on the safe side, opt for a smart pair of jeans or nice slacks.

Sports Clothes: Once again, athletic clothing/gear will likely see you turned away at the door. It’s an extremely casual look and usually goes against most establishments’ dress codes. Absolutely no basketball or football jerseys.

Gang Apparel: This one is a no-brainer. No strip club wants to invite trouble inside.

If you wear any of the above clothing items when visiting a strip club, then there is a high chance that the bouncers will not permit you entry.

So I swapped to the vibram style flat bottoms
