I’ve noticed that specifically men are more likely to have a unique personal style whereas women will have a pseudo personal style which will still fall into a niche regardless of how niche that niche is. While more women are fashion aware, they’re fashion aware due to necessity as it’s a competition of looks with other women to get men, while with men it isn’t as important in the realm of attracting women so the guys that are into fashion are genuinely into it as a hobby meaning they’re in a better position to actually dig into the topic and get all autistic about it due to true interest.
I would say of the men that are into fashion there is a larger percentage of them who are actually good at it compared to women who are into fashion. I think it’s just a gendered thing because women are less likely to hyper focus on specific topics and interests unless it’s genuinely important.
