I think people are just very stupid and take it literally. They think that what people mean by 'internal monologue' is that there's a 3rd party voice talking to them inside their head, beyond their control, instead of simply their thoughts processing things.

But also people lie for attention.

If you ask some POC they’ll tell you for instance how psychologically draining it is to live in a white majority society when in reality it’s not actually that hard.

People do it about “neurodivergence” as well, there’s no punishments for falsifying subjective experience

              Its very simple.
Can you doubt yourself or engage in self reflection?
If not then the only way for you to engage with abstract concepts is in a reactionary manner and as such one adheres to impulses like cockroaches scattering from light.

To break it down for dummies your thoughts are not your own because your brain is running on autopilot.

Your conscience isn't (you) but a managerial layer of the human condition. Your body requires complex adaptations to cope with ever more complex evolutions of a system and the reptile brain has served this very purpose but can only be pushed so far in its data evaluation hence the "higher" cognition that you think of as yourself.

See you feel trapped in your body because you are.
You are a slave to a confederation of bits and bobs pulling your strings for their own survival but they are elementary.
Your gut bacteria merely says don't die and feed me more.
If it senses a danger in the electrical impulses from your evaluation it will sound the alarm and you know this as your gut feeling.

Its all very basic until it comes to you.
You aren't meant to think for yourself but just to be like AI to us a tool to evaluate quickly and weigh the long term interests of your body with its short term needs.

      >Francis Galton found out that the ability (to imagine a table with breakfast) was very different for each person. Some were able to mentally produce a detailed and realistic picture, while others could barely do it or not at all. Galton then described aphantasia as common among his collueges.

It is not a voice that you hear. It is your own thoughts running around. For example, when you are watching a movie and then a thought pops up about "I need to move the car off the street into the driveway". I don't think our brain shuts down when we are awake.

Are you talking about internally thinking of what reciting it would sound like? Because that's not what's being said. Inner monologue is more about non-overlapping inner mind understanding and outer-mind expression. Since former is required for the latter, it is indeed logical to say former is to somedegree, and latter is to some degree, though I don't care about defects, and I thinl it's erroneous to say NO inner monologue, because if they match 100% inner and outer, they both still exist.
Also, I'm not going to get into online personas. Hairy nest of bots at a third level of abstraction which to some is their only form of thought available.

      >narrate every thought
Some thoughts are narrated some thoughts are not. People with internal monologues (aka: people with souls) only narrate complex thoughts because we are actually capable of having them. Contemplating complex ideas doesn’t require you to break them down as a conversation inside your brain, which is what I assume that’s what most people refer to when they say they have an inner monologue.

Complex ideas are best conceptualized in the word-less tier of thought. And once you have established that idea, the internal monologue helps in the arduous process of formulating the idea into words so it can be communicated. Don't you just hate it when you know what you want to say but you can't find any words for it? Sometimes it's like a box of legos in there.

Why do you need to say 5 words to yourself? We communicate like this together because we are separate minds. We have agreed upon certain sounds to have different meanings.
You and your brain share a bony cell, language for most things is cumbersome and long winded.

"Hmm merhaps I've mislaid some such item?"

The fuck are you doing? For me I have a sense of something missing, it's sort of like a pulling feeling that demands my attention until it is resolved, the feeling is forgetting something, I'm familiar with it.
Perhaps it's because I was conscious before I could speak, as I have a good memory of my early childhood, but that's how it is for me.
I only think in words when I'm debating both sides of a complex idea and am unsure of which is right, or something of that nature, that goes beyond instinctive and intuitive simple thought.

If you have internal monologue you could train yourself to switch to word-less though. Its faster than thinking in words. Try reading books but dont read it outloud in your head. Took some training but you could get there in a weeks or two.
After that you could think and read real fast.

Nothing but the present matters. All I can do is observe and act. I also argue with myself when learning a new skill or when I can't figure out a basic math problem. It's all activity dependent. People often get caught up believing that their thoughts control them or that ALL of their thoughts are manifestations of their personality. k*kes like to peddle this idea but don't be fooled. Listen to your thoughts, be aware and understand that they exist but are not actions. Awareness, action and observation is infinitely more important than having a constant stream of inner monologue.

I think it's just a difference between how your brain interprets the thoughts that form inside it (or are received, whatever you prefer). You either give them voice, or you interpret them just as ideas, visual images, symbols, situations etc.
Like I have new thoughts forming all the time, i look at future situations and their consequences from different angles, I try to refine my positions on things etc, I would just never thought of calling it "internal monologue" because there are spoken words or vocalizations involved. Do you people also read books as if they are narrated by nagger Freeman? It sounds more childish than "soulful" if anything.

    It all comes in tiers:
    >internal monologue
Like talking to yourself but in thoughts instead of voice
    >reflective voiceover
Quieter than above, usually when you're reading something or reflecting on what you hear
    >structured concepts and patterns
It's when you no longer use words but the meaning behind them as patterns connected in patterns
    >stream of conscious reflection
That's your self awareness, it allows you to connect the above tiers together to observe yourself
    >dreamless sleep
That's where you have to move down to for falling asleep
    >instinct
That one doesn't come from the brain, it's farther down the backbone and loves to interfere with just about everything with its incessant demands.

There. Next time you try to sleep, you can shift through al those tiers desperately trying to snuff out your consciousness but you just won't find rest.

I think everyone who says they have "internal monologue" is either schizo hearing voices or lying for attention. You can't possibly tell me there is a literal voice giving sound to thoughts as they form in your head, that sound's torturous. I'd consider killing myself if somebody was narrating my thoughts to me out loud.

I think it might have to do with being monolingual also? Because I grew up with 2 languages and then learned english pretty fluently on top of that and consume all media in English too. So the thoughts I form don't actually have a language assigned to the concepts, i just know how to call those concepts 3 different ways. Which language would my Narrator even be in? Can any multilingual person "with soul" elaborate on this please?

Oh yeah, I am perfectly aware there are almost thoughtless subhumans out there, but I don't think it has anything to do with any "inner monologue". Either you think about things or you don't, either you can envision possible futures and kill them off or you don't. It has fuck all to do with whether the arguments in your head are narrated or not. I always thought wordlessly and I can not imagine what benefit could giving my thoughts sounds and words assigned have for me.

        >somebody was narrating my thoughts to me out loud
That's not how it works. It's like the memory of a voice or the dream of a voice. But it's distinctively yours (even if it doesn't sound like your real voice) and it only exists at the highest level of awareness. It's where you can assemble a sentence and check how it sounds before you speak it out loud, for example.

          sage

Yeah but I do that constantly, how do you think I'm typing this to be half-coherent in a 3rd language I learned in my life? Yet I never had a sentence narrated to me in my head. I don't know how to explain this without sounding pretentious. I can imagine how the sentence I created would sound if someone read it out loud without having saying it to myself "out loud" in my head. I don't know how else to explain it.

            Anonymous

Then maybe you do have an internal monologue and you simply imagine the term meaning something different. It's not a loud voice, it's thinking in words. And the language you think with can be different when you're fluent enough in them. The ability to think in a second language is indicative of a good level of mastery of the language.

I'll do this in two parts

Nobody has a soul. A person IS a soul. Person = Soul
Some of us have a body that is capable of holding the spirit of Yahweh within us.

The Bible says man is a soul, i.e., a living, breathing creature.

“When I say, my bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaint; then thou scariest me with dreams, and terrifies me through visions: So that MY SOUL CHOOSETH strangling, and DEATH rather than my life.” (Job 7:13-15)

His soul chooses what? Death. Another example; and you can’t get it any more clear than this; is found in Ezekiel, where we find Yahweh speaking:
“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: THE SOUL THAT SINNETH IT SHALL DIE.” (Ezekiel 18:4)
Since “all have sinned...” it is self-evident that all souls will die.

    https://israelect.com/reference/WillieMartin/HELL-1%20%5bA%5d.htm
Read this if you really want to know what happens when you die.

The Hebrew word “nephesh” is used over 750 times in the ancient text from which the Old Testament is translated. It was not only rendered “soul” in Genesis 2:7 and “creature” in Genesis 1:21 and 24, but also in other places “person”, “mind”, “body”, “will”, “desire”, and “man”, just to mention a few.

Every time a verse is read which contains the word “soul”, replace it with “person”, and not only will there be no more confusion between “soul” and “spirit”, but also a clearer understanding will be gained of what the verse is actually saying. (Thanks NZ anon for this part)

Only white people have the Spirit of God in them. Only the SONS of Man (Adam) have this.

So people are souls. When you die your soul dies, because a soul is another name for who you are.
However some people are capable of containing the spirit of Yahweh within them.
Adam was the only man (adamh) given this ability. He seedline (Adam-ites) have this ability.
All other people in the Bible are (iysh) mortal and without the ability to hold the spirit of Yahweh within.

Jesus was called the Son of Man (Adam) and Matthew traces his genealogy back to Adam in the very first chapter of the New Testement.
Why? Because only the seedline of Adam through Noah to Abraham and Isacc have this ability because they were pure in thier generations.
The bible IS the book of the generations of Adam. (Gen 5:1)
Jesus tells us that he only came for the lost tribes of Israel and Paul tells us that Israel is ONLY the people of the Covenant Promise as reckoned by their bloodline from Jacob Israel, son of Issac, grandson of Abraham.

"What people fail to understand is that if you are a genetically pure white Adamic man, then you have the Spirit of Yahweh God in the biological vessel given, this vessel that is temporal, and only meant to house the Spirit of God, for the time we are allotted. This Divine Spirit cannot be destroyed, and was never meant to be destroyed, we are the Elohim, literal children of God !! Yahweh does not want to kill his children, even though we deserve it... Read Hosea ....He says he will kill our children with death..The little mamzer Broken Cisterns, they are corrupt Mamzers (Mongrels) and are to be destroyed, even those cute little cappuccino rug rats. But if you have his Spirit, you are redeemed, to either Glory and reward, or everlasting shame."
      (Bruce Bohn 2017)

Soul - a person of a stated type:
She's a happy little soul. Some poor soul had fallen 500 yards to their death.

      Soul =/= Spirit
This is why these people do not have an internal monologue.

        >This is why these people do not have an internal monologue.
No here is the REAL key.
Most people do not have an internal monologue.
LESS people can have an internal DIALOGUE.
        What does that mean ?

Well can you have a conversation with an imaginary self in your brain and have a back and forth ?
Can you conjure a dead relative in your head and have a conversation with them ?
Can you have a conversation in your brain with a person you do not know ?
Can you have a conversation in your brain with a person you do know ?

That is an internal DIALOGUE... It's much rarer than even an internal monologue.
Then there is the ability to form fully formed color pictures in your mind and then the ability to interact with them..

        There are levels of NPCS.

It's very hard to imagine the existence of people who only ever hear glimpses of their 'inner voice' when they engage with media of some sort.
Ponder it, they cannot conjure up that voice at will, so when they read propaganda such as

Not the best phrasing, yes. Let me rephrase it the way I understood it:
How is it possible that someone who can read cannot conjure up an inner-voice at will? Meaning, if you can process (external) language in your head, why wouldn't you be able to utilize these faculties to conjure up (internal) language? Again, I am not on about whether or not people do or do not utilize inner monologues and the like, for me it's the question about whether or not people are capable of utilizing it.

Because they aren't hyper-socialized. They learn to think independently of speaking.

Having an internal monologue means you're oversocialised and hyper sensitive. Intelligent people think when they want to because they have control over their minds.

Yes, we objectively can. What you're saying is equivalent to saying that people who are physically strong can't stop throwing things. You're just coping that your pajeet brain can't contemplate and explore ideas.

No you can't. It's the internal monologue telling you that you can control the mind, not the other way round. Doubt your 20 IQ brain can differentiate between the two.

Don't be a retard. Even Krishna said your soul and your conscience will dictate your actions, and your ability to listen to it will define your moral chasteness.

I know, nagger. The internal monologue is not the soul though. It's just thoughts maintaining their own continuity. Muh internal monologue dumbfucks are the LULZ equivalent of fedora tippers.

I still refuse to believe this. Maybe I should stop driving on the roads with all these meat suits who could blank out at any moment.

I don't know how you can live like that, if you do not have an inner monologue, how do you reconcile with your conscience, your soul? It is your pathway to divine providence and ancestral guidance and empirical intuition.

Is an interior monologue just thinking words in your head? Like when I clock into work in the morning, I grab my coffee and plan my work day, and as I'm writing things down I think words in my head. Is that all this is?
