Where can I read about skincare?

Where can I read about skincare?

Each guide seem to offer difference approach (based on the writer/youtuber’s experience) which make sense because there aren’t a definitive solution.
But what I want to know is a guide that give you a full rundown and let YOU choose what you want, what is necessary for what scenario.
Like for example, why the heck do we need a cleanser product.

The reason I want this guide is that I’m living on a limited budget and I can’t really go all in from top to bottom like that, I just need what’s necessary.

i bought a bunch of shit, cheap to expensive and drinking water and not eating like shit cleared me up the best. If you have a lot of money just go to a derma and they will spoonfeed you on what to do.

What about retinols??They seem to have many benefits and they seem to be what am looking for mostly (getting rid of fine lines, imperfections and fix dull looking skin). Are they considered "advanced" on the skin care totem?

you see a lot of conflicting stuff because everyone’s skin is different based largely on race. same deal with hair texture. but because of our social climate nobody acknowledges this making advice impossible to decipher online.
for example i’m nordic so my skin is dry, i have a skin condition thats nicknamed "lizard skin" and looks like psoriasis its so bad.
if one of my mediterranean friends copied my skincare or hair care routine he would look like a greased up ball of oil.

anyways the plebbit skincare board is unironically the best place with the best and least shilly info over all. read the shit on the sidebar.

      >cleansing step
You will need to experiment. The options are oil, jelly, soap etc. I like a jelly cleanser.
Invest in cuffs to put round your wrist so water doesn’t run down your hands and get the rest of you wet.

      >exfoliating step
Use an AHA/BHA, don’t rub something textured on your face like the old st Ives exfoliator, that can cause microscopic injuries which makes it easy for bacteria to get in and make your face crappy. Another one to experiment with.

      >retinol step (alternate morning/evening with the exfoliation step) where you can use a retinoid to promote skin turnover (new skin formation)

      >toning step
Niacinimide is great here. You can also try a toner and see how it works for you. It’s for tightening pores and toning the skin.

      >moisturising
Find a moisturiser you like. Hyaluronic acid is a good one, make sure you face is damp first to make it work Better. I like the COSRX rice sleep mask because it’s very light and cheap but effective. Should be your final step.

This is really basic though. is right, plebbit is best for getting a starting out routine come.

Most women have peach fuzz where a beard/stache grow on men. Zoomers tend to shave it (dermaplaning) so makeup sticks better, but it also ages and irritates your skin more since the fuzz is protective. She got mad unlucky with darker ones though
