What happened to Uniqlo's vintage regular fit chinos, and in this color/shade?

What happened to Uniqlo’s vintage regular fit chinos, and in this color/shade? Why is everything slim fit and skinny fit, and barely any colors to choose from? And what ever happened to striped t-shirts? I’ve looked at a few other clothing places and they’re all equally shit too. Why is clothing everywhere so shitty for the past 4-5 years? I don’t even know where to look for clothes anymore. I haven’t bought anything in years, but I hate all of my clothes. I’m going insane. This decade sucks.

I also once wondered this about the same fit and came to the conclusion it’s discontinued-ish for money.

What Uniqlo makes is based off availability/cost of factories and material. You can see this in their Uniqlo U collections maybe, they went from making lots of different types of trousers, to just different colours of denim, because Uniqlo’s main product is denim and it’s easier to get all they have to do is dye it. (Ex-employees on reddit have claimed they manufacture as such too)

So for their vintage fit chinos, it uses too much material compared to skinny fit, and they don’t want to splurge out for the factories/materials to make more especially when most zoomies and thirdies just want jeans and only jeans.

Tl;dr Uniqlo works like Mcdonalds does with the McRib.

It’s not just Uniqlo though. Most shops that aren’t aimed at teens and early 20s only have slim or skinny fit options. I’m not talking cheap shops either

i miss uniqlo’s straight & slim straight jeans without the stretch material
i miss uniqlo’s loopwheeled cotton sweaters
i’ve paid $200+ for worse of both
and they still sell them in asia, for even cheaper, they just moron us.

For me it’s how banana republic only offers synthetic blend chinos now. They used to have the absolute best chinos you could buy from a readily available brick and mortar. Mid rise, they faded really nicely so you could rotate your business casual into just casual. And they had every fit you could want from athletic taper, relaxed, slim, and skinny. Now they all have is like 40% plastic, 2% spandex, and don’t breathe. Such a shame. My old ones all have holes in them they’re so worn out.

I used to get the 484 slim fit chinos from J.Crew. They started adding stretch shit to everything and I stopped buying their crap. I’ve been baggier chinos from anywhere with good fabric, and have them tapered.

      >Why is everything slim fit and skinny fit, and barely any colors to choose from?
hebrews, they want us to become effeminate, less muscle, less testosterone, less capability to fight because pants are tight wait till there will be shoes with stiletto heels for men

      go back to /x/ schizo.

      he’s not wrong.

It’s definitely some shitty business practice. They did it with women’s clothes wayback when, and now it looks like they hecked men’s clothes too. I find myself importing or altering my clothes often.

I really miss them too. I have two at the moment but will need to replace them soon as I wear them frequently. Anyone got alternative recommendations from a UK retailer?

I was also looking for striped tees for the spring and found it weirdly difficult to find basic, classic stripes.

Yeah, if it’s hot I will just cuff them up.

this website is such a shithole because of people like you, schizo stupid

Then go to reddit dipshit. This website is split between natsoc and ancaps. Nobody comes here because they want a sterilized government approved message. There are plenty of state-influenced websites for that.

I tried on the Pleated Wide Leg Trousers and they are a great replacement imo. Not the same but good enough at the least

If you want good, non slim fit chinos:

Ralph Lauren Andrews, Hammond and Prospect model pants are good. Buy used on eBay, don’t give modern RL any hecking money. The old chinos up to the early 2000s are incredibly well made, well cut, tons of colors and fabrics to choose from. You can get an excellent pair for less than $40.

Bills khakis. Don’t buy new, they aren’t being made the same now. Used to be excellent quality, expensive though. Find them for $75 or less on eBay.

Jack Donnelly. These are very well made, pretty much only available at retail. Worth the price. 3 cuts so if you want loose, straight or slim you’re covered.

Peter Christian. Great chinos, English brand, fantastic price for the quality. Diverse fabric choices including calvary twill and poplin. Only downside is shipping from England is slow.

Lands End and LL Bean. If you can find their old miUSA chinos on eBay, grab them.

Luciano Barbera: Way more expensive and harder to find, honestly not worth the retail price but if you ever see a second hand pair, grab them.

Bronson: Chinese, but actually well made. They do milsurp repros and make great officer chinos that are dirt cheap. Great cut and fabric, slow shipping and probably made by literal slave labor.

J Crew Officer and Giant chino: Overpriced at retail, short inseams. If you can grab at 40% off, they’re worth it.

Luxire: Custom made. Will run about $120, but they will fit perfectly because you provide the measurements and they make them however you want. Fast turn around for custom work, will take 2 weeks from when you place the order to arrival.

Edit: All of the above models are pure cotton, no elastane, polyester, etc. Do yourself a favor and only buy pure cotton.

If you have to have stretch, Brooks Brothers Advantage chinos are decent but they have stretch.
