No. J&M quality is bottom of the barrel. Their shoes are some of the cheapest on the used market for a reason. Paper heels and dogshit leather don’t make a good shoe.

Chukkas are more formal. Desert boots usually use suede or waxed leather that you won’t see on a chukka.

Sanders is the best bang per buck and can usually be found on sale. They do crepe and GYW models. Crockett and Jones has some of the best looking lasts and leather options. Both have a variety of styles to choose from. Pic related are Sanders.
