It's actually insane what people order on these services. People order single items like 0.5L tubs of ice cream or a sandwich and pay $6+ to have it delivered. They order from restaurants literally <1KM from their home. The sheer laziness boggles my mind, but I'm happy to take their money from them.

Thanks wagie, I’m on a zoom call can you leave it at the door?

I find most of the customers are 8-12 miles away. Sometimes see orders for 15-25 miles of driving. Domino's and other pizza places do not deliver outside a 4-5 mile radius.

But yeah, what was supposed to be a luxury service is primarily used by wagies ordering single person fast food after wagie work delivered to their shit overpriced apartment.

A lot of people who order food to their workplace 2 blocks away during lunch time are probably using the company expense account for that shit

only buy things that are bogo free and combine it with coupons like spend $40 (the free item is included in the pre-discount total) and get 40% off up to $20. I got $50 worth of food for $20 the other day. uberone is worth it if you order more than twice a month and ALWAYS complain and downvote restaurants for more free coupons

I dunno, i ordered a pizza from a pizza place directly and it was like 40 with tip. I only do that like once a year. Not worth

Only in burgerland are you guilt tripped into tipping. Even for an product overseas. Imagine how much money burgers could save if they just told these scroungers to go fuck themselves.

Delivery would costs a lot more without tipping. An Uber Eats driver gets $1-2 per order fare. Some orders pay more, because the restaurant is a low tier merchant on the Uber system or something.

All those deliver fees and market up of the food items primarily pay for live customer support and IT hosting costs.

ive cooked all my meals at home for 3 months straight now
last night i stuffed myself full of baked salmon filet and roasted brussel sprouts
not saying the slop isn't tempting or im above it, just suggesting you give cooking for yourself a try. the more you do it the better it tastes.

Do the sprouts in an over with bacon and after cooked drizzle with balsamic vinegar that's reduced until it's like chocolate syrup. Shit will make you coom.

oooh, ive had balsamic reductions before anon, absolutely delicious i agree.
i just use olive oil and oven roasting since im lazy af and the dinner i made took about 10 minutes of prep time and 30 in the oven. i love brussel sprouts so much it's unreal, i could crunch down lbs of them and still desire for more. that and olive boosts T levels along with salmon and brussel sprouts a nice added plus to all of it.

I pay $7 for a pizza because I order their deal and always pick it up. Imagine paying more than $10 for anything that isn't a steak.

No... just no. Who are they trying to kid? It's a delivery service run on third worlders trying to apply for entrance visas.

i only order from these services when there’s a voucher for free delivery or a discount and the prices match the ones in store.
Fortunately the supermarkets over here have started making their own services where you just pay delivery and no extra charges like Sainsburys’ Chop Chop or Tesco’s Whoosh.

If you order bulk or party meals they end up costing the same as little single meals.
Like look at two taco meals from taco bell vs like a 12 taco party pack. Will be close to the same price .
I don't eat fast food if I can avoid it but just drive and get it.

You singled out tip like that was the big deal and not a fucking convenience fee that doesn't go to the driver or taxes(which are ALWAYS theft)

I'v literally only been eating canned soup with some take out every now and then for the past 8 months from everything being so expensive. its literally only ~$5 per meal plus something to drink.

Saved $100's and went from 280lbs to 200lbs, I look like a fucking twink compared to how at I was a year ago.

How many cans a day do you eat to be full?

        Anonymous

I started at 5 but now I'm down to 2 cans a day because your body gets used to the caloric intake slow down. I'm only eating like 800-1200 calories worth a day but I spend all my time on the PC so I don't really burn many calories to start with. pic related addicting af.

You only ever order when they send you a coupon for one. It's used very sparingly and it's nice to not waste the time and trip and just be watching a movie with the wife and get our meal delivered. I also tip well every time we get it.

Why is Zelensky doing Uber Eats now?

  22. 2 weeks ago
    Anonymous

I look at the total cost. There's an amount I am willing to pay and if it's that or under, I will buy. How they spend that money doesn't matter to me.

There isn't a product that Uber eats could possibly supply that costs less than the most I am willing to pay. It's not even worth checking.

Something like DoorDash or even Uber works well in NYC or San Francisco. Doesn't work so well when you export the business model to middle (or god forbid) rural America.

Master a couple of restaurant quality dishes you can make in a slow cooker. $25 will set you up with dinners or lunches for a week. Slightly more effort, nearly all of it up front aside from plating and microwaving as needed, save $100/more per week, no complete stranger bringing food to where you live or work, no uncertainty about quality (which you can't do anything about anyway), no participation in their idiotic pricing structure, no conflict or idiocy (e.g. cowering in your house) about tipping, etc.

Consoomers. Spend tons of money to eat goyslop which will kill just in time before they start collecting retirement.
