Ok but why bloody?

I'm not a vegan, I'm not even vegetarian although I was 10 years ago. I can understand eating meat and do so very often, but why do so many eat it bloody?? The taste of blood is disgusting, tastes like I got punched in the nose. And it sours the stomach, makes it hurt. Everywhere I look for recipes to cook a steak, they're all bloody messes

        I went outside and took the steak from the grass. I washed it off and put it in a bag. I'm marinating it with garlic, salt, vinegar, parsley and some other herbs. I'll try to cook it tomorrow but I'm really scared. Idk what I'm doing just reading online about it makes my hands sweaty.

      It's an interesting argument that consuming burnt flesh is carcinogenic versus the liability of parasites if not cooked well enough. But then again, rare steak is seared (burnt) so you're getting the worst of both.

      Dude, chuck it in a pan or on a grill with a touch of oil, salt and pepper. Fry it for a minute or two either side then chuck it in the oven at 225(C) for 5 minutes. If it's still too bloody leave it in the oven for longer.

                roo is a difficult one cos it has so much protein and so little fat (basically none, the cunts are lean and all muscle). makes good sosig or stews, things that you can mix fat in with. The abos love roo tail due to the bone marrow, it is their favorite part. roo tail stew is the tits. but roo fillets by themselves always have that dry protein almost metallic taste unfortunately. it is fucking healthy though.

                Well, I can't say Ive seen raw pork dishes in Germany myself.
                Pork we cure it slightly at least before consumption.
                I ate it rare enough, but at least the parasite risk was low enough.

    I genuanly dont like this part, but it's true.
    Blood doesn't make my stomach hurt.
    I feel emense amount of energy afterwards, even if I eat regularly rawer steak my skin feels better.
    To me it tastes good, I like rare done steak, wel ealed sides, with butter, gaelic and a dabble of honey broiled towards the end with salt and pepper and unfortunately the blood and juice!
    I also like cured meats that have the raw textrue, grew up like that!

    Would like to only eat fish, spare others, and I don't ear meat much but I feel it on my skin as a consecuence, pain...

    If you want medium well/well done meat I'd recommend lamb not beef. It typically has a higher fat content so it retains more moisture when well cooked. Well done beef is typically tough, chewy and unflavoursome.

    There's an old comparison image I saw in playboy many years ago of how parts of your hand feel compares to the differences of rare to well done steak. Look it up and use it and just cook it more. Good rule is 5 minutes on each side if it's your standard thick cut steak like pictured there for medium rare, no blood, but pink center in the meat. I like to sear the steak on each side for no more than a minute on high to seal the juices in with a nice caramelized crust but avoid burning and then cook the rest on medium/5.

    A lot of meat in stores now is complete shit. They add all sorts to it. Just stick to farm bought meats that are organic/grass fed and you'll be able to eat it rare and enjoy it.

    The key to rare meat is to allow the meat to get to room temperature, before cooking it, and it tastes better. Hunter gatherers would have been eating warm meat on a freshly killed animal.
