selvedge does not always mean raw denim (although most raw denim is also selvedge). Get selvedge jeans in non raw denim and wash properly, you should be able to prevent most fading and keep the original color that way.
>you’re going to have to
Sorry, not taking orders from plebs.

I’m going to piggyback off this thread and request a recommendation for black, soft, fadeproof jeans that are not stiff and rigid and do not have brown stitching.
It takes literally a hundred plus wears for good selvwdge to start fading if you’re not washing them unnecessarily. Buy two pairs and rotate (don’t wash them) and you’ll have years of basically new looking denim

When I bought my 330$ Momotaro raw unsanforized selvedge denim I washed them after two weeks.

naked and famous had no fade jeans but I don’t see them on tateandyoko anymore
OrSlow 105 or 107 in "One Year Wash". I’ve had a pair for 2 years, washed them twice and they didn’t fade noticeably anywhere.
NnF are hecking lame, their fits are weird, the raws feel like wearing cardboard and they’re all low-waisted.
>low-waisted.

>elephants
why are you talking about elephants?
it’s still on the lower end of mid-rise at best.
OrSlow size 4-5 have a 41-43 Cm. back rise.

uniqlo, they all fade eventually though.
just wear them like you would with any other pants and ignore the 2012 advice for getting high contrast fades
