idk with the rising popularity of vintage clothing there seems to be no platform left for steals, last good one that popped up was vestiarie

seems like its used more now then ever sure there isnt’t the "community" on it but who gives af just use it to buy sell

the site is atrocious now. way too many filipinos and ukrainians trying to sell GAP shit for hundreds. comments being removed was also a mistake

yeah comments being removed was a big mistake but in terms of finding that exact dries sweater from fw07 in my size for a dcent price nothing compares 2 u

      >ukrainians

as soon as they started to charge sales tax the site died. why pay a premium +30% in fees for something that’s used and probably fake. that being said, I do miss scrolling through it in middle/highschool and finding sub $500 Raf Simons shit and Helmut Lang mummys for 700

Why is it always those two groups? I often wonder how the shit gets there in the first place. Same with a lot of military surplus in Thailand. I just bought a bunch of rare eastern European patterns from some dude in the jungles of Thailand.

I wish there were a best of comments archive or something

      This

Expect every item to be fake on every platform. The Chinese are even counterfeiting vintage 80s and 90s band and concert shirts and they even make them single stitch. The reseller market is over.

I actually think it’s better because the site is dead so I just abuse offers instead. I’ve paid far less for shit the last couples of months than ever before.

if youre looking for a brand that doesnt have a gigantic history of fakes it’s a good site, otherwise yeah, good riddance so a cancer

also despite it’s rep with women sellers/buyers, I’ve had a better experience buying on Depop, it seems Depop is for the approach of people who arent trying to make a profit but actually trying to get rid of shit

    • Anonymous says:

depop is kind of hard to browse because the gen z kids on there dont know what anything is or what details to list

this is what infuriates me the most with all of these sites. You have to spend so much time sorting through different spellings of the same shit on the hopes you hit the right search.
