Been wearing these Sugar Cane 1947s for a while now.

Been wearing these Sugar Cane 1947s for a while now. I like the rise but the fit is loose as squats + deadlifts have made me go a size up on pants. I’d like a good second pair of jeans anyway. Should I get another pair of 1947s and take them to a tailor? Or get a pair of 1966s? Or something else?

TCBs seem nice but the rise is quite a bit lower than the Sugar Canes. Do they still fit high rise on you?

Never made a post about it. Tried them on in a shop but they also shrink after washing.

Got a rec for basic tees?

          Whitesville not by Black folkville

I’ve actually got some plain Whitesville tees (not the pocket ones). The one in my pic is from Barns.

            kek i’m just berging out.
i’ve learned over time that if you plan to do physical activity in your jeans and want them to fit perfect at the waist long term you wanna size somewhere between ‘feels kinda tight’ and ‘can barely get the top button’ to get that perfect ‘not tight at the waist but also doesn’t need a belt’ fit long term. just make sure the rest of the upper block’s not tight. waist and hips will stretch a ton but ball room doesn’t.
sizing down like that can turn straight cuts into slim cuts and can make slim/skinnies look goofy and reddit-looking doesn’t work on every pair on every body. its safe to do when trying stuff on in person and shopping irl tho.
fwiw fits being on the loose side is in style and your jeans look good, i don’t think you sized wrong, just mentioning it cause you did.

            >basic tees?
ill post my white tee copypasta after this post.
it doesn’t really cover solid color or pattern stuff but its a starting point.

Thanks for the tips. I’m weirdly thin-skinned as of late, idk why

I just got a pair of the Flat Head’s straight tapered jeans from self edge last week. Really nice cut, the taper is super minimal so the leg silhouette looks perfect. The rise is medium, not sure if that’s a deal breaker for you

kek i constantly tell you Black folk to size your raws tight in the waist because they stretch. i’m pretty sure i even remember your posts.
shouldn’t have listened to the zoomers doling out fit advice when they’ve maybe bought 2 pairs of pants their entire adult life.
i hope some of those stupid gays remember quoting and disagreeing with my advice see this and realize how wrong they are then stop posting until they have advice with actual value worth posting.

fwiw fit looks fine tho. if they feel loose belted because they’re between belt notches just do the shoelace-under-the-belt trick. all my jeans fit like that whenever i cut weight its w/e.

    >the highest quality basic white tees in the world:
    >japan – https://www.loopwheeler.co.jp/
    >germany – https://merzbschwanen.com/
    >they’re the only two companies in the world operating a loopwheeling machine, no one else can make tees as good. all high end brands that aren’t ripping you off have merz b schwanen or loopwheeler make their tees for them. just go direct. they’re about 60-120 bucks per tee. very thick, very soft, and the collars hold up to years and years of washes without deforming.
    >jap denim brands – usually pretty high quality, some will be loopwheeler tees rebranded in diff cuts.

    >the second highest quality tees:
    >chink heavyweight tees. they’re a solid 30-50% thicker than western "heavyweight" tees, and softer. not as nice as merz/loopwheeler but very cheap

taobao is basically china’s version of amazon/ebay. its just a website that hosts storefronts for shops in china. a lot of those places have physical stores you can go to. cos for example is owned by h&m and actually just opened a store in america.
        >how do you order from them?
you either use an agent like pandabuy, sugargoo, etc that purchase all the stuff for you, then inspect it and re-package it for international shipping, and send it to you for a small fee.
or you arrange the proxy buying and international shipping yourself (complicated, i’ve done it before, not recommended)
the first pound or two costs a lot to ship then after that the shipping fees are low. usually the value you get from buying stuff that isn’t marked up for the western market more than makes up for it. but i’d buy like $100-200 of shit at a time minimum to make shipping worth it. it doesn’t need to all be from the same store btw. taobao has everything you’ll find on aliexpress/amazon/wish/etc and much cheaper with much less markup, so you don’t need to just buy clothes in that total either. best place to get cheap electrical components for example.

Pandabuy got raided by the chinese state police for selling so many fake Nikes too openly, don’t tell people to use it anymore, they are gone.

youtube plebbit etc have a ton of guides on using taobao
its simple as heck if you use an agent. everyone will try to shill you an agent DYOR they’re all about the same though.

Observer Collection OD Bleus. High rise, straight leg, 11oz with a strap built into the waistband to adjust the waist up to 2 inches. I highly recommend them. Best pair of jeans I’ve ever had.

It wasn’t deadlifts and squats, you’re fat. Pasty pale too, which means you need to go outside. At least get your arms and face a shade darker. You must have gained weight. Plus you should throw those socks out, the t-shirt too. Whole photo just looks kinda gay. Go do something worthwhile, whatever peaks your interest, not mine to decide. Do a season on a fishing boat, ride a motorcycle cross-country, maybe even volunteer some place. Whatever it is, do that and come back. Maybe you can get some fashion advice then.

My facial hair comes in red and I have freckles. Wasn’t able to tan even after spending a month in Italy during the summer.
