Thrifted picrel for like $12. Unstructured/unlined and the material is pretty thin, but I live in California so it’s gonna be warm until October.

Wait people actually wear those things as fashion? What kind of key words do I need to use to get dumbhecks to buy ike jackets and battledress tops? The only people I ever hook are collectors and that’s only if they have a giga-rare poopoopeepee patch on them.

Where can I find a cardigan like this? I’d love to own one but the only waffleknit normal hecking cardigan I can find in fawn/tan is the 200-400$ supreme one.

There’s gotta be a cheaper one out there

I didn’t see a trad thread so I guess I’ll post here. Lost most of my OCBD’s during the pandemic, donated them while in a depressive spiral like a stupid.

What’s a good brand for OCBD’s, with a solid collar roll, a pocket, and a variety of striped colors? Like purples, greens, etc. I used to own RLP shirts but they lacked a pocket and the logo was obnoxious. I’m open to cheaper options, but I’m also willing to pay close to $100 per shirt. Thanks 🙂

How the heck do I get my wool shirt to stop being so itchy. I have a pendleton one which is fine so long as I wear a long sleeve base layer but my woolrich one is heavier and is unbearable to wear.

Do I brush it or use some kind of conditioner? I admit that functionally wool is better but cotton seems far more comfortable (and cheaper). Help?

How does merino wool compare to normal wool in terms of scratchiness and warmth? Looking at copping a couple of sweaters or cardigans, but I have somewhat sensitive skin, so I’ve stuck with cotton up to this point. Where I live, the climate is subtropical but it still gets a bit cold later in the year.

I’m ultra sensitive to clothing,I HATE scratchy shit. While merino is much more east going, I would say it’s not that simple. You have to wear, try and experience. I’m a suit person, and have merino waistcoats, and of course they are worn over a shirt, they are still soft as heck on the body. But I still have felt uncomfy in a big merino sweater.

Thanks, guess I’ll have to go in person, but since the climate here is pretty warm, I don’t have a lot of good brick-and-mortar options

Half the thread have mentioned this but…

It just looks a bit weird, the double cardigan, the pin collar, the worsted wool slacks… non of it fits. Classic case of ‘all the gear and no idea’.
