I'm female, biological female, and I am unattractive. I won't provide pics or anything but I promise I am 4/10 or less and that's not just from me but from other people.

I'm not really smart or creative and have traits from the autism spectrum. So generally when people interact with me they get a socially awkward ugly woman and I feel bad bc everyone hates ugly women.

I'm older, single and virgin (lmao) so I don't always think about my appearance but when I do it hurts so bad, just like when I was a girl, because it feels like I not only failed but also should never have been here in the first place.

I know being physically attractive isn't the end all be all in life. At least,I know that's what others have told me since I have no experience being physically attractive. But how does one get over being the end crust of the bread loaf and the dregs in a cup of coffee? I know I'm a natural part of something but I'm also the part that no one really wants. Idk if my mind is worth anything but my appearance makes it really hard to justify my existence.

I wish I could just be pretty so I could be myself, be quiet and people accept me because I'm nice to look at and don't have to justify my presence by being smart or charismatic or useful. I don't care that it's superficial. People smile more at pretty women, pretty women make them happy and I can't do that.

Have you ever actually tried hard to improve your appearance?

Autistic people are usually unattractive because they cant into fashion or grooming

There's makeup and flattering clothes but in the end I think I just have unfortunate physical genetics. I don't look exactly like Danny Devito but picture a female equivalent Danny Devito. But without the talent and charisma. Plastic surgery would be an option I guess

I guess your only hope is to become rich and buy a boytoy. Or settle for a similarly repulsive troglodyte and have a large, oblivious and perfectly happy family. That's usually how these things go apparently, for whatever reason.

You would be surprised what weight loss can do for your features! And at the end of the day if you still dislike your appearance at least you know you’re healthier. Just make sure you do it the right way, don’t give yourself an ED and make sure you’re exercising

Read some of your other replies and realized you don’t actually have a weight problem LOL I just figured from the danny devito comparison
Tbh, at the end of the day unless you get surgery there’s obviously nothing you can do about a face you dislike and nobody here can just tell you “accept yourself!” And it will magically happen. But you gotta learn to accept yourself. Immerse yourself in family and friends and hobbies so you’re not thinking about it. If you can’t be stellar in appearance be stellar somewhere else

Get fit and present yourself better. You can get away with being awkward and quirky as a girl. But if you’re ugly or below average facially AND you’re also fat/ obese/ frumpy then you’re doing yourself no favours.

What good is makeup and fashion when you're looking for a face to wake up to and a naked body to hold? all I see is shit about taking a girl to the pool on the first date, etc.

why is it so hard for you to believe women can be ugly?
There's plenty of ugly men out there, it makes perfect sense that there will be a decent (but probably not equal) number of ugly women. It's more likely that when you're outside you only care to notice the beautiful girls so in your mind it registers that every young woman is automatically hot.

OP, I don't know if you're really ugly or not. You might be just hard on yourself today because of some shit that happened, and on other days you feel pretty. But either way, it's not the end of the world to be ugly. You can find a loving man who will love you and make you happy, but you will need to lower your standards and accept that he might be ugly too.
What do you think is ugly about you? Is it your weight?

god damn it I appreciate your approach to my OP but I swear to god I'm not fat (by american standards so I guess it doesn't count), just ugly, and I feel like that's much worse bc I can't fix that

I had a huge crush on this girl who sounds similar. She was a customer at my work and she would always talk to me especially out of everyone. She kinda looked like a female version of this character except with long wavy hair. I knew a lot of people would say she was ugly but I didn't think so myself, I thought she was just cute in a nerdy way.
Then one day she came in with her husband and he was a fat slob who looked like Gallagher. It was soul crushing. That's when I truly knew it was over.

I only really know the same situation from the male spectrum. Honestly after a while of moping about how I'll never find true happiness from another person I just settled on trying to get myself in the best headspace I can be. Hopefully that'll snowball into other things, as I'd guess being a generally more happier person will lead into other improvements such as overall sociability, better lifestyle choices then tackling physique eventually if it can be helped. Hope for the best, Anon.

      >Honestly after a while of moping about how I'll never find true happiness from another person I just settled on trying to get myself in the best headspace I can be
I feel that, heavily. But I gotta say my headspace doesn't really matter and never really has. In terms of survival and success it all depends on how others perceive me, since it's their world and I'm just living in it.

I feel like that the way I look makes them question, and when they start to question they end up with answers and the answers they have make them realize I'm more trouble than say the employee applicant who comes after me and I'm not worth it. This whole thread is based on knowing that even seeing me is not ideal to them.

While appearance is important, its not the only important thing a woman can have. One of the most valuable things for a woman to have is being a homemaker. So many women nowdays, cant cook, clean, organize a house, etc. Looking pretty runs out real fast when you move in and cant fucking boil pasta, and leave the house looking like a pigsty. Coming home to a clean house, fresh baked pie, knitting me a scarf or something adds 3+ points on the scale.

What makes you ugly? I am also spergy and female and have had trouble grasping how to present myself well. If you are overweight, the best thing you can do for yourself is to loose it as it will make you look much better. I also suggest building at least some light muscle to make your body look nice and firm, especially under the breasts as they tend to sag after weight loss. Picrel will show you the difference weight can make. You can lose weight through typical cardio and lifting but if that's too boring for you, you could try out a sport you find interesting. Martial arts would be worth a shot.

The next important thing is fashion. Before I got into it, I figured it was something you either had to look good for from the get go or just know how to do intuitively. Then I found out there was more of a system to it and not only found it interesting but have become better at dressing myself aesthetically. You need to learn about: body type, skin type (winter vs. summer tone) and face shape. All of those factors influence how different types of clothes (cuts, colours, detail etc.) and hairstyles flatter your appearance. Once you know your types and how to dress for them, it should be easy peasy.

The last thing is face and hair care. You don't have to wear make up if you don't want to. I'm still learning about it myself and don't really want to wear it outside of formal events and whatnot. You can make that choice for yourself but I can't give advice on it. Regardless, you need to take care of your facial hygiene. Obviously brush your teeth (use charcoal toothpaste for whiteness if you're prone to yellow teeth) regularly and make sure you wash your face (cleanse, tone and moisturise) twice a day. Give yourself a clay mask occasionally and exfoliate with a silicone face brush once a week too keep acne under control. Use natural products (unnatural ruins your skin) suited to your skin type to ensure you don't make your face too oily or dry...

It's more to show the difference weight has on your appearance, not whether one is more attractive. Most people look better without weight though and weight can cause other side effects that change how you look such as hirsutism. Few people pull off higher weights while remaining attractive. OP can choose what makes her confident though.

I use Sukin cleansers and moisturisers but use Thayer's witchhazel toner and they've been great. I especially like the Rose witchhazel toner cause it smells nice. Sukin is an Aussie brand but they ship worldwide and have great natural products. For your hair, learn what your hair type (eg. mine is thick [density] and fine [strand width]) and wash/condition in accordance to that. Don't condition short hair, just the tips. Get a hair cut every 6-12 months to get rid of dead ends because they make your hair frizzy.

That's all I can say for now but feel free to ask questions for more info or clarification. I'm no expert but I've turned fashion into a special interest for over a year now so I know a thing or two and I like to help others feel good about themselves 🙂 You won't be a "4/10" once you learn to look after yourself.

Makeup changes the shape of your face, sure, but things like contouring / dying your eyebrows and great hair remain even after you take makeup off at the end of the night.

Plus, if you’ve gotten to the stage where you’re sleeping together on the regular, a guy already knows what you look like and has accepted that.

“Ugly” is just in people’s heads most of the time.

After reading the whole thread it's clear it's not your appearance the problem. It's your ugly repulsive loser mentality that pushes people away from you. Plenty of anons gave you good advices (weight, hair, clothes, make-up, skincare) yet you refuse everything and continue whining. the fact that each of us is "this" person is very strange. we have a conscious, self-awareness. an identity. but its wrapped up in gender, sexuality, physical looks. and many people are not attractive. many are unattractive.

now consider the fact that almost everyone is required to slave away earning money for most of their life. on top of that, working on friendships and relationships to give life some deeper meaning. everybody seeks that.

being "ugly" is basically a social death sentence for most. certainly everyone of middling i.q. and talent. if you have no genius to offer the world then you have nothing as an ugly person.

so as far as advice about what to do? What the fuck can you do? what can anyone do? the answer is, do what you can.

      Anonymous

i think that, while being genius is by large typically genetically gifted, you can build your knowledge and even intelligence the more you try. i think the reason why theres such disrepancies between a genius and the average person is more due to a lack of effort than any genetic setback. the average person barely even tries to improve themself and is egotistical but has incredbly small actual self-awareness, meanwhile ive noticed geniuses are more likely to be always looking to improve themself and learn about the world which stimulates the brain in a good way. obviously there are lazy geniuses as well who were just naturally gifted, but many seem to have paved the path for themselves
