Are there any good?

Are there any good /fashion/ combos that I could steal?
I’m 170 / 5’7" and skinny-fat (on the skinny side).
I’m 30 this year and I’ve never really cared for the way I dress, I just have jeans/other kind of pants and a tshirt with a hoodie during winter/fall.
>pic rel (not me)

I found some vids where people post "old money" outfits or whatever the heck that means, but each item costs over 1k in their vids.

elp
I’m located in Europe if that helps.

Good leather shoes like brogue boots. Dark denim or chinos. Oxford Shirts. Wool jumpers. A pea coat. You’re 30 now.

It completely depends on your budget. You can build a good wardrobe from somewhere as inexpensive as Uniqlo or you can spend thousands. Just get good quality as your budget allows. Consider at least getting a pair of decent leather shoes if you don’t have one. People build up a fear of "grown up" shoes and get stuck in the sneakers comfort zone. If you really are worried about looking too formal something as simple as Clarks desert boots still looks casual but is a step out of the white trainers zone

I would help but I’m a burgerclap. The best price to quality here is ll bean and banana republic. You get like 75% the textile quality and 90% of the attention to detail on seams and stitching and aligning patterns for 25% of the price.

can you throw any names? We have most stores here I think plus I can always order online and just send it back if it doesn’t fit.
I’ve been looking thru Zara/Grant stuff like that. Grant prices seem to be fine for the most part (if it’s on sale)

I don’t think you guys have ll bean or banana republic or jcrew or carhartt or red wings readily available. It’s incredibly difficult for brands to open stores in your countries because each individual one and the EU have so many legal hoops to jump through and because you change the laws so frequently that it is often just too high of a risk to even try to open stores there. Then you have to pay like 2x or more for the same clothing quality depending on brand. It seems like clothing availability is extremely reigon dependent unless you want to pay ridiculous import fees.

I guess I want to dress like this

How do I know if it suits me? I’m illiterate when it comes to "fashion", I’m short – does that affect it?

Before you bother with anything fashion related get lean and fit
I assume since you don’t give a shit about your weight you’re also subpar in terms of skin and hair quality
Fix those two and then come back in three months

It’s pointless to worry about what fits to wear when you look like shit
Dressing well is the easy part once you look good, you can throw some money and buy whatever clothes and see how it works, but you can’t instantly buy being lean and the best version of yourself

btw this board is full of useless stupids who have no idea about how to dress, just look at WAYWTD thread for cringe

      >your weight
      I weigh 62kg
      >skin and hair quality
I’d say my skin and hair quality is fine, I obviously take care of myself and shower + wash hair daily (although I’m balding so it won’t matter in some time) I’m not greasy or pimply or anything like that, I also shave daily.

      • Anonymous says:

Are you doing anything about balding? There’s many options on the market and don’t let scaremongering throw you off, there’s millions of people who do this shit with zero sides

Yeah looking ‘ok’ is fine, but try getting above and beyond that. You might think you are fine because you’ve accepted it, but a lot of people tend to overrate themselves because they have no one to point out objectively that they look shit.

Get a skin care routine if you haven’t.

Cleanser + retinol (tret if you want to go that route, imho retinol is just fine to start off and especially if you are not/never been acne prone) + moisturiser + SPF is all you need to get started
You can explore different things like Vit C, caffeine cream for undereye discolouration, volufiline for loss of fat pads, etc. later on but this is a solid starting pack and it won’t cost you more than 50 for a few months. It doesn’t really matter which brand you use, you can’t really go wrong with Face Theory, Ordinary, La Roche Posay (French brands are good in general, probably best in the world with Koreans) and Cerave

Don’t wash your hair all the time it’s awful for your hair and scalp
Everytime hair gets wet it becomes very fragile, so you are constantly stressing the heck out of it
Too much water dries out the scalp
This might make your balding worse
Cut it down to maybe once a week or twice, also don’t shampoo everytime
Look into hair masks for after you’ve washed it, egg yolk is a good one, but just conditioning it is also helpful

Your weight is irrelevant, only thing that matters is being lean, i.e. 10-12% bodyfat percentage. You won’t just look better in clothes, your face will be more attractive and you’ll have higher test and probably feel better about yourself. Being skinnyfat is disgusting.

          >Are you doing anything about balding?
Nope, I have a receding hairline and top of my head is starting to fall.
I might try the skin thing, I never really did anything to it, I get an occasional pimple but that’s it.
when it comes to my hair, I have to wash it daily because I put product in it (gum and spray) and the next day it’s greasy. I have to style it with that shit because if I don’t I can’t do anything with it and I look like I just came back from a 10h field work.
I have almost no fat in my face, you can see my cheek bones, the only places I have "visible" fat is my lower stomach.
I was thinking about picking up swimming, I used to swim quite a bit when I was in my teens.

I recommend doing something about it sooner than later
The more you lose the harder it is to get it back
Likewise if you start earlier you have greater potential for regrowth
Swimming is goated, I sincerely hope you get into it again
            Best of luck

And by fit I mean do a bit of calisthenics and look like you do any kind of sport
      Ottermode if you will
There’s no point going for bloated gym physique with long bulking and cutting periods, it’s a waste of time if you want to dress smart as none of those styles work well with really big physiques
Cut weight by counting how many calories you are eating, increase the percentage of protein you are eating so you don’t too muscle mass trying to get rid of the fat and immediately take up cardio and calisthenics
Go climbing or pick up swimming if you hate doing what I just described, basically anything to bring out some definition in muscle mass and to hold it all together once you’re truly lean

Rich people arent any more fashionable than you, they just shop at luxury stores instead of Macys.
You can pick up secondhand clothes online from some really nice brands for like half the price of some shit Nordstrom label. All pretty fashionable, all pretty well made.
I’ll usually look for something really broad like knitwear or button ups and filter a few brands I like, then sort low-to-high.
Idk what your taste or budget is so I can’t recommend specific brands for you but this is the method if you’re poor & dont mind clothes in imperfect condition

These shoes are winter/fall shoes, what about spring/summer ones? Just white sneakers?
