Neither of these are bad tbh. I’d go with darker legwarmers if you do go with the right shoes though, the white is kinda bright against all that black and not really balanced out all that well by anything else. The white of the converse kinda helps in that regard like you said.

I think the lighting in your room is making the color coordination look worse than it actually is.
Legwarmers look better with the sneakers, because it blends the white and the black of the thigh highs together. Whereas with the black shoes, it looks like it’s interrupting the profile. Having the white on the shoes also helps incorporate the color more consistently, as you have the white in your blouse/trim and the legwarmers. Cap is really cute. Shawl is neutrals and fits with cap somewhat, so it’s fine.

Sneakers give it a more playful aesthetic. Which, given your corduroy cap and the style of dress, I assume is the goal. The black shoes will give it a more formal (or moreso a less casual) appearance, if you want to steer the outfit in that direction.

Not OP, but anonymity is the main reason why I feel most comfortable posting here. On other sites, admitting I’m female even once has the potential to follow me around, and I’m scared of guys stalking me across multiple threads.
