The only way you can pull off this look at a dinnere is by pretending to be a deeply spiritual individual. Keep the shirt undone, find a tacky necklace, you’re full 35-something year old European (presumably Spaniard) who spent his 20s in Ibiza and now pretends to seek Shangri-La or whatever.

    Yea

Clothes do not have hormones. If you’re asking if they make you look manly, then I guess they make you look like a workman
    >Should I go out to dinner with this fit?
Absolutely not unless your dinner is at an Arby’s

OP here. My mom bought me like six pairs of these cargoes. She hates when men wear jeans or sweatpants. She says that real men wear cargo pants. Is she right?

Your mother and most women in general are clueless about men’s fashion. The best they can tell you is if something fits, not if something is masculine or attractive.

Wtf? WHats wrong with jeans? Sweatpants I can understand, but JEANS? Maybe she’s been seeing men wearing ugly ass jeans. Get some unfaded, dark denim, or if it is faded, be faded all over, not patchy.

This wouldn’t look nearly as bad if you ironed your shirt and got your pants hemmed. Wouldn’t look great or anything out but you wouldn’t stand out as looking particularly disgusting amongst the other human trash bags that litter the streets of current year Weimerica.

I wear very similar pants sometimes while I work. Outside job. Occasionally I forget I am wearing them and go in public. People kind of glance at them and frown, even with work boots. They probably think I have a gun, like most do, in the pockets. So yes, they can be manly. Out on a date? I would personally choose something else

    Obviously

Unless youre wearing them in an outdoors or work context, no, they are not manly. You have no practical reason to wear them to a restaurant (or anywhere else in town), so they’ll look stupid and bulky in that setting.
I can also see that theyre way too long for you which makes them even worse.

most men don’t pay attention to it and most pants made for men have a one size fits all inseam length. or 30" minimum. i am 5′ 9" and it’s super hard to find pants that aren’t too long off the rack.
