      >Germany introduced a requirement for storage to be 75% full by Sept. 1 and raised the targets for October and November to 85% and 95%, respectively, from 80% and 90%. The November target is roughly equal to the amount of gas that Germany used in January and February this year, when temperatures were relatively mild.

Norway and the Netherlands drastically increased their gas deliveries to Germany. France will start delivering gas in mid October and in early December 3 large LNG terminals will go online.

these gas storage facilities, are they well protected?

        Yes, the Bundespolizei guards them.

The BBL pipeline is operational prepared for transporting gas physically from the UK to the Netherlands
You're getting most of the "Netherlands" gas shipped to the UK via LNG ports and pumped to the Netherlands by the way.

At 100% the storage is enough for 2 months if NO GAS AT ALL gets delivered. Norway and other partners won't suddenly stop supplying us and we already secured LNG contracts until 2024.

Amazing you just get to pay 5x to 10x what you used to pay for it. German citizens are bankrupted and industry grinds to a halt or becomes massively uncompetitive against other countries like China who still have cheap energy. GG no re

so where are all the tankers that could supply this terminal (as if one terminal would be barely enough).

A single tanker needs ~1 day to unload another day to regasify the LNG, the avarage size tanker stores 125-150k m3
German imports of gas in 2021 where 142 billion m3 32% of that where from russia roughly 42 billion m3 per year or 3,5 billion m3 per month, or 115 million m3 per day.

          Do the math hans.

The terminals in Wilhelmshaven and Brunsbüttel will have a capacity of 20 billion m3 per year.

again hans where are the ships?

there are globally 700 LNG tankers, which roughly 200 belong to Japanese companies

              https://www.statista.com/statistics/468412/global-lng-tanker-fleet/#:~:text=The%20global%20liquefied%20natural%20gas,to%20satisfying%20growing%20consumer%20demand.

              >20 billion m3 per year.
50 million m3per day, now again do the math on how many ships you need.

previously it was enough because Russia didn't stop pumping gas in Autumn, Winter and Spring
now you'll have to do certain economic measures just to survive

Temps don't mean as much when there's polar air dipping down onto you, from my experience. There's a -3C that is completely bearable without gloves for an hour, and there's a -1C with polar vortex that feels like you've already been inside a meat freezer for 2 hours after only being outside for 15 minutes. Lately, winters where I'm from have been seeing the latter far more often.
