What's with dudes going out and tucking their t-shirts into their pants now?

What’s with dudes going out and tucking their t-shirts into their pants now? People used to get beat up back in the day for doing this shit.

Since when? Men used to tuck their t-shirts in all the time. You’d get beat up for NOT tucking your shirt in. Or just for being black.

The difference here in OP pic is that the white tee-shirt is being worn with pleated dress pants and leather dress belt.

So dressier clothes mean tuck in shirt and also then people see the /fashion/ leather belt and buckle: 50s 60s 80s style shirt tucking revival.

you realize you’re being conservative about yesterday’s sloppiness right?

like someone thinking high-rise is new and weird when that’s how pants were for most of history.

i would say in 2022 tucking is a good flex because it doesn’t work properly without a flat stomach.

It looks good and clean. If you don’t tuck your shirts and t shirts you look like a sloppy poor person. Get real stupid.

this was unacceptable between 1990 and 2005
before that and since then it’s been perfectly fine and actually the superior option

Same for me, i sometime catch girls staring at my juicy ass

Dudes too, but oh well… they’re probably just jealous

if you’re wearing a belt then tuck in the tee
if not, for example with denims, then leave it untucked

    in my opinion

I saw some thread last year with a pic of a guy with a tucked in sweater, like that never occurred to me before. Tried it but it felt weird.

looks good only if the sweater has a nice texture. it’s also functional as it improves insulation by layering

i started doinf that this winter as it was particularly cold a few times and found it really helped keep the warmth in. im going to start tucking my sweaters from now on.makes it look more like a medieval tunic or something

If it looks good nobody would give you shit. If you can’t pull it off and end up looking like a goof then people will give you shit. Fashion is that simple

also op guy is skinny fat like me, he not pulling it off. i feel like u need narrow waist and hips to pull it off. at least ur shoulders need to be wider so it doesnt look like a square.

I always tuck my shirts in. I love the look. I wear just slight bigger shirts and because i have strong shoulders, the shirt draped my body into a taper at the waist. It’s got a lot of sex appeal if you have the body for it. Don’t wear oversized shit though it looks a little trying
