Wardrobe resets

How often do you reset your wardrobe? Getting rid of most of your stuff and getting an almost entirely new set of clothes for a particular style you want to wear?
The last time I did this was after I graduated high school and all I wear now are white t-shirts/plaid shirts and during the summer and tartan flannel during the winter. Both paired with jeans.

I never reset my wardrove, I just replace some items that might be stained with or too old

Dressing nicely for practicality like a normal human being and not some hypewear streetshitter or gaygy "core" isn’t NPC at all, stupid.
NPC look would be all trend hopping shit yuou see online because it’s all basically the same.

Nah the npc look is the jeans and tshirt default look the overwhelming majority of people have. At least trend hoppers have some semblance of consciousness

Breaking news: stupid zoomer ( you must be over 18 to post on this site btw ) thinks timeless look is for NPCs. Let me guess: you tell your mom to buy you whatever brand you see on the four chans or on r/mfa?

After high school, after college, after the military, after law school, etc. Usually after a major life change. I don’t throw away all of it but I change up what the new staples are.

I sort of do something like this. Whenever I go through a major life change or feel like an era ended and a new one began, I renovate staples and centerpieces.
I realized a couple years ago that I did this somewhat unconsciously.

I don’t know how insecure you are that you think that’s bragging. It’s just part of growing up. Your station in life changes and you find you have to change the way you dress.

Which part do you think sounds like bragging? The part where he went into the military because he couldn’t get a real job or the part where he went to law school because he still couldn’t get a real job?

agree and I do this, without completely eliminating all of previous wardrobes, classic pieces of outerwear, sports jackets – blazers, some pullover sweaters and oxford / slip-on shoes are kept

70% of my wardrobe are Van Heusen shirts that I bought when I started college (2007). And some other random pieces typical for a mid-late 2000s college student (lots of random t-shirts, shirts from unknown/defunct brands from then) that I bought between then and when I graduated (2012).
I very rarely buy new clothes. When I do it’s usually as a replacement for something I already had (but I’ve only had to do this about 4 times in the past decade).
I just take really good care of my clothes because I really like what I’ve been wearing since that time.

Never, it evolves. By now I’m old and only buy things I can still wear in twenty years, style and quality wise.

I don’t have the money to make any major changes. I just gradually shift my shift by incorporating the same pieces into fits from one style to the other.
