Sorry for the crap photo, best I could do. Got a date lined up in a few days, going to a restaurant, and I’m thinking of wearing these clothes.
Want to know what you think of the overall fit, if it’s good or bad and any suggestions that might help would be greatly appreciated.
child molester / 10
Not really constructive criticism. What would you suggest then as an alternative?
You’re fine, you don’t have a pedostache or that fat ginger beard look so you’re not a child molester look
Good to know. What do you think of the fit overall tho?
Can’t say it’s my thing, I’m not a suit guy, but it’s not too bad.
try not raping kids for a start you cunt
literally me
Here’s my takes:
>What’s up with your collar? Did you forget to button the top button? Also tie is not big enough for the gap between the wings, either get a bigger tie, tie a bigger knot, or just go without. I would try to make it work though, the tie looks quite nice.
>A suede double-breasted jacket with lapels that large is a… bold choice. Not so sure about the sunglasses either.
>Double breasted jackets are made to be buttoned at all times unless sitting down.
>Take the earbuds out you hecking zoomer.
>Hair looks good.
>Like the watch.
Solid take in all honesty.
Normally I close the top button and sort out the tie but it I was working and opened it cause it got a bit stuffy. I’ll sort it out and make it less scruffy.
I wasn’t 100% on board with the shades either. Forgot about the earbuds in there, definitely wouldn’t wear them outside.
Went with the jacket cause I like double breasted jackets and big lapels, really into the 1950s style.
>I’ll sort it out and make it less scruffy.
Good, I think that’ll work pretty well then. The tie and shirt compliment each other well.
>Went with the jacket cause I like double breasted jackets and big lapels, really into the 1950s style.
If you feel confident with the style and can rock it, then I say go for it.
Cheers. I think I’ll go for it then.
breasted jackets are made to be buttoned at all times unless sitting down.
ngmi ahahahah
Like everything minus the shades. Can’t tell with the coat on, but does the shirt fit you perfectly? Doesn’t look so at the collar
OK got it, shades are going out. Shirt fits OK, I got it a few years back before I used to really go to the gym so it’s a bit tighter on the arms which isn’t too bad, makes arms look bigger.
It could be a little looser at the collar, not terrible but this shirt is a little tight when the top button is done.
Might swap the shirt and tie out if need be. Got a white shirt with dark blue stripes and white double cuffs/collars plus this vintage Fendi tie.
>get a belt or suspenders
>if youre wearing a tie always button your shirt up all the way to the top
>metal of the ring and the watch are not matching
>tie should have stripes instead of squares
>take your sunglasses off indoors
I can tell youre trying to hard, but you dont look bad
Don’t own suspenders atm but I want to get some very soon, probably navy blue.
I noticed the ring and the watch are silver against gold, didn’t know if that’s a big faux pas but I could remove the ring if necessary.
Ditching the sunglasses and sorting out the top button.
I thought the square pattern on the tie would offer a good contrast against the stripes of the shirt, while still complementing each other with the orange.
Thanks for the imput.
Took some of the comments I got here on board. Did the top button properly, ditched the sunglasses and buttoned up the jacket.
You look better here OP. Bit more mature.
Cheers, I appreciate it.
I know what you’re saying. My friends like to joke that I was sent forward in time from the 1950s to the present. I very much like the style, cars and music from back then but I understand that it can look like I’m cosplaying that time period.
>1950s
Eh, looks more like the 1980’s 1950s revival movement.
The wide lapelles, squared shoulders, striped shirt, Wayfarers, 4 in hand knot and mid-width tie were all popular 1980s twists on 1950s fashions. Also, the poofy hair/5 o clock shadow looks straight 80s.
I genuinely dig it, but the details are so period to the 80s, I’m not pulling any 1950s vibes.
For period 50s you will want wet look hair, clean shave and slim up all the details.
Normally my hair is not so much like in the picture, it’s very long atm and I need to cut it really.
Usually it’s more akin to that 50s wet look you were talking about. I have a picture from a year back that demonstrates what my hair is normally like.
I suppose it looks fine, but the style looks too much like it’s trying to cosplay the 1950’s
Be clean shaven and moisturize your skin constantly to give it a sheen.
I usually shave every 3 days with a double edge safety razor, gives a very clean shave. My hair grows fast so I might start shaving every day instead.
In regards to moisturizer I feel like my current one can leave my skin feeling dry and flaky afterwards. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions on what to do?
Neutrogena anything to do with moisturizing your face. Hydro boost water gel is my personal favorite
Thanks. I’ll get that one then. Not really got a solid skin care plan atm so I guess it’s a step in the right direction.
Definetly need more exfoliation and/or retenoids for texture. I would try doing 30% ordinary bha+aha peel weekly, get some squalane on top of moisturizure for the daytime (read up on humectants and occlusives) and vaseline overnight. Tretonoin if you can get hold of it otherwise any over the counter retenoid. Hope you are using sunscreen too.
Sounds like a lot of stuff but I’ll look into it. Thanks.

the sunglasses got to go, and your facial expression makes you look like a homo
Sex
Why, thank you.
you need to loose weight
Not bad at all anon have a nice date
Cheers mate, it went pretty good.
Thanks a lot pal.
looks good. a nice 50s/60sish vibe. would look a lot better if you were clean shaven though. maybe see a better barber as well, that hair is jacked up, but at least its in the right direction. go for something a wee bit shorter, perhaps with a part. you have a long face, and the length/style of hair you have now makes it look exaggerated even more. try a style like my picrel
Thanks for the good advice. I’ll definitely have to shave daily to stay clean shaven.
My hair is quite long at the moment, I neglected to go for over 2 months so I’m long overdue for a trim.
I normally just slick my hair back with a ducktail at the back atleast that was before my hair got so long and I tried out the pompadour style. I think I’ll try going for your picrel hairstyle, reminds me of Cary Grant’s hair and he’s one of my style inspirations.
word. I think a shorter more clean stlye will work for you. a pomp isnt right for your face shape imo. kudos for trying something you were interested in though
also, I liked the sunglasses, just not the colour. throw on some nice tortoiseshell ones instaed if you have them. and wear a brown watch band as well with it.
the black isn’t bad, but if you are going with brown, lean in to it. the dark pants, tie and blue in the shirt balance it out enough
These were the glasses I was talking about. Don’t know if I could pull them off but I think they look cool.
looks amazing to me, how I would imagine reviewbrahs cousin
in my idiom I would say you have to look "licked", clean face and more styling in the hair
Thank you. I think Reviewbrah is quite stylish so a comparison to him is a nice compliment.
Your watch is on the wrong wrist and unfortunately you are brown but if everyone around you is too then you’ll look good
I don’t really know what the rules are for which hand to wear a watch on. Being brown wasn’t a conscious choice but I don’t really date white, mostly just brown, yellow or occasionally black so I guess I’m OK by your logic.
Left wrist always just like it’s always been
Disregard everything these stupids say and find a jacket that FITS.
And sunglasses, really? You should already know better.
The sunglasses have gone, had my doubts confirmed by the other posts in this thread.
I personally think the coat fits fine, especially if you wear a blazer underneath it. It is vintage though so I can imagine it’s probably a little bigger than what you might get these days.
this has to be a bait. pls be a bait.
Why?
Wrong type of brown man.
Thought about wearing the pinstripe blazer but I thought it might come across as too formal for a first date with someone.
It’s on the left
>It’s on the left
His phone is in his left hand
Do you even into directions?
what call center do you work in currybro
Pinstripe pants only with pinstripe jacket
Looks like what a poo living in the slums of Mumbai would think a rich man looks like.
Very well done, good sir.
Thank you my good sir.
Yeah I guess my face is to long to have a haircut with so much height.
I actually wanted to go with tortoise shell but only have black atm, reminds me of Cary Grant from North by Northwest.
I’m glad your happy.
I sure am happy im not brown

Points removed for gay snake skin phone
Even with deducted points for the gay snake skin case 7.5 is high praise and I’ll gladly take it.
you look like a million dollars
make sure to tip the doorman
Thank you kind sir, will do.
I’m working on that atm. Let myself go a bit, at 23% body fat and trying to get down to 15-14%. I already lift but I’m incorporating more cardio into workouts and I’m cutting the crap from my diet.
is this an outfit for an 80s themed party
Nope. The clothes are quite typical of what I’d wear normally, minus the shades, but particularly it’s for a date tomorrow evening. My style is more 1950s inspired than 80s.
>my clothes are 1950s inspired
>wearing a tie over an unbuttoned shirt like am 80s cokehead
here i thought you knew what you were doing
To be fair I can see why people say it looks 80s.
About 20 years too young and about 20 Grand too poor for this look.
Dude, guys your age looked like pic rel in the 50s.
I hear what your saying. When I’m dressing more casually I dress more like the picrel you sent.
Photo’s a couple of years old but the point is there.
Ah, that’s more like it.
you look like you’re in a late 90s swing revival band that performs at weddings
Funny you should say that. I actually like a few swing revival bands from the 90s. Wouldn’t mind being in a swing band, I even play the tenor sax. Only problem is finding likeminded people, most of my friends don’t really care for jazz.
>paki
>intrinsically a 0/10
Well you’re entitled to your opinions and I’m not here to try and change them.
Based, good luck with your date
Cheers. Not long left now, going to set off very soon.
Don’t know if anyone actually cares but I thought I’d mention that the date went well, got another one lined up with her in just over a week. Great Success.
Godspeed anon
Cheers lads, appreciate the kind words.
happy for you, anon, i like all the fits you’ve posted
try not to rape any kids mate
I wouldn’t dream of it lad, especially since you asked me so nicely.
I did have an 8:30 res tonight, it wasn’t Dorsia but I thought the place was pretty good nonetheless.
nonce
Unironically love everything about the fit but the collar. Also if you lookmax your jaw and stop mouth breathing it would bring everything together
That’s high praise, I appreciate it. I’ll look into that stuff you mentioned but I think I just have some fat on my face I need to lose.
OP must have an 8:30 res at Dorsia
lose weight, shooter
Will do. Currently working on that.
dan akroyd
you both look like the guy who diddle kids and the guy who arrests him
The fit doesn’t matter if you’re fat. Lose weight first otherwise your fit will always be shit. But if you want actual criticism as if it were not on a fatty here:
>jacket and tie colors are bad for your skin tone
>jacket lapels look too larpy
>tie, sunglasses, and shirt are all good and match the same era, jacket and pants do not
>my solution: change pants to solid black, or dark grey. Change jacket for a different color/style
But above all, lose weight
Recently I’ve started taking steps in the right direction in regards to weight loss. I usually lift 3x a week and swim laps for 30 minutes after lifting. On the days I don’t lift I cycle 45 minutes on a stationary bike. I’ve also cut the crap out of my diet.
Well done you!
