Redpill me on Minoxidil. What does it do and how quickly does it work?
It increases hair production and usually needs 4-5 months of regular application on a head to show growth, but it may be quicker and more effective on beards
So after those 4-5 months what happens? You patches just fill in or hair starts growing?

Started minoxidil like a month ago (missed a week with holidays since I forgot it at home)
I can already see some changes, hair is finally growing between the chin and cheeks
But the hair is kinda soft, how do I make it sturdy?
If you are growing a full beard, soft hair will be more attractive and make it look fuller.
keep applying, the hair is wispy because it’s vellus hair. it will eventually terminate (become real hair) and then minox won’t be necessary. beard gains from minox are permanent.
it will dry out your skin and age your face faster. also, long term effects aren’t completely understood and it has led to heart problems for people. introducing minox into your system will trigger MPB if you have the genetic profile for it, so be ready to suddenly start balding soon after starting a minox regimen. this will mean you will have to being applying it to your head unless you want the bald+beard combo
Fix what? Looks like a pretty average growth pattern.
It may fill in when you get older, otherwise you’re hecked. Might as well shave it off.

I have a pretty pointy long chin and thinner face, so I feel like facial hair helps to balance my face and frame it better, hence why I want to grow one
But it’s patchy…

Stay as thin as possible so you have a jawline. Shave daily.
