You have to know the rules before you can know how to break them
Are you extremely knowledgeable about menswear? If not, dont even bother yet

Not OP but i wear italian inspired fashion (especially colors coordination and urban menswear).
What do is, i go on Loro Piana’s website and see what they sell (ie unbranded jumpers) and then i find the same on Yoox or Boggi Milano, but in cotton instead of cashmeare.
No one would tell the difference anyways. And italian colors (browns, terra cotta, beige) are always the first to go on sale.

Make more money gay, you can’t just scrounge for the clothes on discount and expect to have the swag of wealthy old Italian men

not him but this boi here

            […]

, disregarding the pants that are too slim, he could be wearing Loro Piana and you wouldn’t know.

Classic menswear is expensive. I started building my wardrobe 6 or 7 years ago and it’s worth easily 30k+ between garments, alterations, MTM and bespoke pieces, etc., still nowhere near done either.

There is nothing more tacky than people who look like they have no business wearing a sport coat or a suit sporting CM knockoffs.

Also, anyone below 25 going for this style is going to look off no matter what.

Also, you have no idea what you’re talking about.

The difference in fit alone between a RTW suit or jacket and a bespoke one, given the same fabric, is like night and day. It’s very noticeable.

Loro Piana is not bespoke, jumpers are not bespoke.
And instead of spending thousands on bespoke, what if you just… bought… CLOTHES THAT FIT

Loro Piana is, for the most part, hyper-overpriced generic stuff for people with more money than sense. Not sure why you’re talking as if it’s the epitome of italian fashion. Great quality cashmere, everything else ranges from meh to okay.

            >And instead of spending thousands on bespoke, what if you just… bought… CLOTHES THAT FIT

Idk about you but there isn’t a single non-knitted RTW garment in my wardrobe that wasn’t altered by my tailor. You aren’t wearing clothes that fit, you’re wearing stuff that fits "close enough".

Perfect fit is a myth. What fits perfectly (in your mind) can look too small for someone looking at you.
I don’t even buy my "true size" for jumpers, i should be a M but i buy L or XL because i like my jumpers to have a comfy look to them like picrel.

            this
Loro Piana makes great fabrics but their actual clothes are extremely overpriced compared to Brioni or Kiton for example
