The 2000’s obsession with jeans was just annoying as heck. Everytime you wore chinos or whatever everyone would ask ‘why are you dressed so nicely’ even if you wore it with a tee.
it will eventually reach the mainstream, right now it has already left the 90s revival and is in the y2k revival, which was already being done in the early 10s, give it a few years, the mainstream is always behind what is actually fashionable
the style/clothes are good but the fit is bad. hard to put my finger on it. Maybe the jeans are too wide compared to the narrow shirts?
This style is preferable than slobcore, though. It’d be preferable if normies dressed like this when going to the store than gymshorts and graphic ts.
Can zoomers not come up with their own fashion? they are the first generation to create bastardized chimeras of old fashion trends. Im guessing its because they’re one of the first generations to have access to the internet from a young age, and be able to look back at any period of history with ease. It creates the globo homo ‘grey goo’ effect where there is no distinct cultrue or nothing new.
As awful as millennial fashion trends were, it was still its own thing.
>As awful as millennial fashion trends were, it was still its own thing.
Zoomer fashion has it’s own unique twists, on the other hand millenial fashion is pure cancer, from the 2000s to early 2010s hipster bullshit. heck millenials, nothing good came out from their generation.
Don’t act like we millennials didn’t create bastardized versions of the 60s, 70s and 80s when we were younger. Granted, you can never go wrong with the 70s, but still.
Millenials atleast added some original stuff mixed in with their inspirations. The emo look was original. the low-waisted jeans look was original, everything else drew some minor influence from 70s and 80s.
Gen Z just copy-paste 90s and 2000s outfits from whatever tv show they saw a tiktok of.
The outfits on the two girls in bell bottoms are hella cute.

Does it matter whether it’s original or not if it looks shit? I may be original wearing shit smeared diapers with puked wife beater, I will still look bad and that originality will be completely useless to me.
I’m a millennial and even thought these guys looked like shit when they were popular. No one is going to revive trends that should be best left forgotten
Imagine if this board had the fashion sense of a rock band!

do you remember some point around 2010 when suddenly every young guy switched to wearing chinos 24/7? the era of chino wankers
now you get asked that if you’re not wearing tapered sweatpants
ive never worn chinos in my life. only jeans and sweatpants, and jeans only in the 200s.

There’s also a lot more micro-trends now which makes it hard to see big cohesive trends
they already did a couple years ago, taking stuff that didnt look like shit (and stuff that did)
synthesis is when you take two things that exist and make new things tard
