If so when?
Will Earth become uninhabitable at some point?

Not soon enough
Also nukes would make it better
when the last white man dies
Will it be me ?
Yes. In 30 to 50 years, chud.
>Some regions
Dumb umb mb b
Fine, the real answer is 600 million years.
Correct
I thought too much co2 was the problem, seems like we need to burn more fossil fuels.
We should regreen the deserts of the world with massive mega projects, and turn them into forests. It would be neat.
that'd only happen if we dont burn the carbon back into the atmosphere
First of all do you ever think for yourself my dude or is finding and highlighting articles your best game.
Second, you didn't even read what you posted it says life will be gone 4B years from now.
600 M years assertion is an educated guess I'd say. I figure as long as the planet has water that's not boiling like on Venus it's habitable, this is oversimplifying but poles will become tropical at some point and towards Equator will be baking deserts.
Life will be gone long before Sol goes red giant. Or at best it will be reduced to simple life hiding deep deep in the crust of the earth, but all complex life will be gone.
>Life will be gone long before Sol goes red giant.
Never said it won't.
>but all complex life will be gone.
True but that doesn't mean uninhabitable. If Mars had some water and oxygen it would be inhabitable for example. Iirc the blue green algae ( cyanobacteria ) created the oxygen rich atmosphere and some bacteria actually thrive in conditions that don't really support complex life, such environments still exist on Earth, some are in Yellowstone I think.
Mars would need a lot more than some water and oxygen. It would need a magnetosphere, it would need much higher gravity, it would need its toxic perchlorates in its soil (half a percent of its mass, which adds up to millions of gigatons) scrubbed out by some process, such as seeding the planet with GMO fungus and probiotics to sequester and break down the harmful chemicals, and so on.
Mars is a terrible planet and it should die, tbh. We should use it exclusively as a nanite testing range from a backwater outpost on Phobos. Try to get the nanites to extract minerals from the dead world for us so we can pretend it doesn't exist from our cities on Luna and Venus.
>Mars would need a lot more than some water and oxygen.
Fair enough
>It would need a magnetosphere, it would need much higher gravity
Well Earth has those, gravity isn't going anywhere I guess and magnetosphere is a dice but the article you posted says in 2-3 B years it MIGHT cease.
>would need its toxic perchlorates in its soil (half a percent of its mass, which adds up to millions of gigatons) scrubbed out by some process, such as seeding the planet with GMO fungus and probiotics to sequester and break down the harmful chemicals, and so on.
OK but the Earth doesn't have those.
At this point it's 2-3B years, not bad if humans don't obliterate themselves in the current year.
Well if you're still talking about Earth, it's angels dancing on the head of a pin. Because at the end of the day, in 600 million years, there will no longer be plants and life will have to be like the machines in the matrix and say "There are levels of survival we are prepared to accept," retreating into the crust. If you call that habitable, idk what to say. I call it not habitable when the most advanced life on the planet is microbial life living underground extracting energy and carbon from rocks with ferrochemistry.
>If you call that habitable, idk what to say.
The question isn't would you like to live like that it's could you live there at all. There are too many parameters that we can't possibly know and technological advancement is one of those.
With technology we can literally starlift helium out of Sol and prevent it from ever going Red Giant.
Humans, if they continue to exist, will be able to extend the life of Sol by a trillion years or more, if they wish to.
But the fact is that humans will not exist much more than a few thousand more years. We're at the end of our civilization now, and I predict the next civilization will be fiercely anti-AI, and last approximately 2,000-4,500 years, after which point a pro-AI civilization will probably rise among some of the many star systems we will have colonized by then, and from that point on, humans will become post-human cyborg abominations and begin expanding outwards into the universe as a dark, soulless mass of machine automatons acting out the memories of the billions of progenitors echoing in their minds for all time. Souls will cease to exist in just 10,000 years at most. And then, again, it won't really matter what happens to Earth, even if robotic automatons care for the planet and its star with blackhole reactors for the rest of time until the proton death of the universe, because no soulful humans will exist to experience it and enjoy it.
No. I want that. The point of life is to live as long as possible.
The tragedy is we could achieve biological immortality, and never destroy ourselves with cybernetics and transhumanism. We could, each of us, live for hundreds of years in perfect utopian happiness, and eventually die from trauma, war, etc. But we're too greedy. We always have to push for more. We will push to make ourselves indestructible, and make ourselves able to revive as cybernetic replicant clones of ourselves after death, and from there it's a glide path into techno singularity, our souls reduced to a personality matrix in some space-computer ticking out calculations at 3 degrees kelvin in deep space, simulating life, reliving past lives, and eventually subverted into simulating an actual hell where the billions of souls within are tortured eternally.
Hell is real, and it's reserved for transhumanists.
Cybernetic implants leads to who knows who program taking over you consciousness anyways which leads to non-existence with a cybernetic bio organism just sending signals around in a self-perpetuating program running on an eternal loop. No ghost in that machine. Just machine. I wouldn't be surprised if it disrupts the cycles of reincarnation for the individual dooming them for an eternity.
Yes, that's true. The number of minds that will simply be overwritten instantly will be not insignificant. Transhumanism is death if you're lucky, and eternal torture if you're not. There's no way to stop it, though. The transhumanists will be vastly superior to even the perfect overmen that our genetic engineering will have produced after 4,500 years of the anti-AI civilization. There will be no stopping them, once they get started. The first option is to flee the Milky Way to avoid the oblivion of AI.
>Better than natty
What weakness. I refuse to believe it. They're literally full of vulnerabilities to exploit even if you're weak.
>Your carbon footprint is keeping the plants alive.
Real strange we have a war on carbon lol
global warming is fake and gay
It was just joke. Why you heff to be mad?
I'm 38 this year and I've been hearing that in 10 years my area of the world will be subject to droughts and hurricanes that will make it uninhabitable.... every year for the last 30 years and they had already started over a decade before I was born. Climatologists couldn't accurately predict a train if they were holding the timetable in their hand, let alone draw a map of where it was going to go.
>NASA
They’re the one causing it! They always accuse you of that which ~~*they*~~ are responsible for. Every fucking time.
First person to say "2 weeks" is getting shot. I'm serious
Probably but idk if they can figure out when, I'd say millions of years rather than thousands but who knows. Maybe even billions.
almost uninhabitable now
>when
two weeks after we release the kraken
2046
600 million years from now.
It's guaranteed that Earth will become uninhabitable (by modern standards) in about 600 million years due to changes in the sun as it ages.
Meaning that if life on Earth took just 15% longer to develop it would fail before sentient beings evolved.
It could happen earlier though - seismic/vulcanic activities, sudden asteroids, humans doing something crazy, gamma bursts etc. Or even something we can't even anticipate or imagine (like simulation glitching).
ya
by year 3000 the earth will be entirely rid of human in their 3d boides and will have a golden auric ring around it fully healed and with enlightened men up der ok buddy true story check out Monro's book Far Journey or sumting bai
Yes, in 2 more Brahma weeks.
digits and I will release technogenic virus that will consume us all
Tsk.
The universe will someday be uninhabitable. If we are to survive we will have to find away to slip beside it during the singularity event where things go from absolute entropy (frozen spread apart particle state) to absolute order at which point all things instantaneously harmonize and "suck" themselves together directing immediately to a flash point and recreation of another big bang cycle
About 500 million years when the Sun will have doubled in size
300 million years
life is so terrible that it is actually unbelievable. sex and money is so fucking disgusting when you cant have it. like i cant even believe i had to be alive just to witness this. it is actually unbearable. and thats it, there is no escape. created in this world only to suffer truly gruesome amounts of pain before i get to die. its so terrible that it actually cant be real, is what im saying. the odds that something like this would happen naturally are pretty much zero.
Let me tell you a secret OP. Nukes do not kill you with irradiated isotopes, you can eat plutonium and be perfectly fine. So then, you may ask, what is the big deal then? Tell me, what other radiation does a nuclear warhead produce? The acronym EMF is a hint.
Once you have answered these questions to yourself you are ready to start questioning why Ura-nium and Pluto-nium is always portrayed in media as being hellfire or demonic in some way. Sorry if i double space but this is important.
5g?
It will always be inhabitable, Mother Nature will rid the planet once again of the foolish.
God I hope so,
When blacks become the total majority in every country.
GOD imagine all the BBCs. I'm salivating.
What does uninhabitable mean? Shouldn't it just be inhabitable
Never. Not in trillions of years sorry
If they clean up the plastic in the ocean and use bio plastics from now on hydrogen and electric vehicles..there isn't alot wrong with it but there are still some issues with the population being extremely high. If you look at Latin America you'll notice there isn't alot of space to build because of the amazon so it isn't getting bigger than that..and Africa has the jungle and Asia has jungles..its like complicated to break the ecosystem without some water.
when leftists achieve their utopian society free from CO2
feels pretty uninhabitable already
Then
Computers are good for entertainment. They shouldn't become a part of me.
earth can sustain itself forever but humanity cannot. we are likely the 3rd or 4th iteration of humanity to grow a civilization on this planet. at some point our previous counterparts colonized the moon hence the structures and nuke craters all over it
Who was the first?
it is impossible to know with all of the fake evolution and science shit being shoved down our throats. just be sure the vampiric israeli bloodline was around for far longer than 6000 years or whatever they claim
israelites look so distinct and demonic despite being nearly 95% white genetically because they are an ancient race which our minds cant comprehend. the bible says they are the synagogue of satan ( demon spawn ) not saying it's true but a couple million years of mixing with humans might result in the creation of such horrid creatures
Only if ~~*they*~~ don’t stop fucking around with climate engineering.
somewhen
dont worry idiot
devon island. I'm sleepy time for bed
If white people dont snap out of homosexualry and ding dumb shit yeah.
Muhammedans create deserts and Indians and east Asians cannot fathom resources are finite and that you cannot waste them frivolously for eternity.
And than theres naggers.
But you cannot pull of desertification everywhere.
So by uninhabitable you must also consider jungles and rainforests that ordinary people cannot live in.
The science question of when is boring. The cultural and sociological question of how us figuring this out and it being acknowledged as true, that the Earth will die, is far more interesting.
Only in the last 200 years have people known/believed this.
In that time life has become more nihilistic and terrible.
What is the point of effortposting or effortliving if ultimately all trace of humanity will be wiped out?
Sun will explode in 5 billion years
At least a fortnight
IF israeliteS WIN, YES, DEFINITELY.
Just two weeks more
