What's your opinion on the k122 hoodie from Carhartt?

I was entrusted by a club to get a few items of clothing for the teams. I shouldn’t have agreed because I don’t know much about it and was probably only chosen because I know a lot about sneakers. So, through my research I came to the conclusion that Carhartt puts more into the quality than Nike and other better known brands. (at the same price)

To cut a long story short, what do you think of the K122 from Carhartt? I would especially appreciate negative reviews, because that’s where you can learn the most about what you should avoid.

I have the non-zip hoodies of theirs. They’re warm and still lightweight while feeling substantial and also they fit great (wearing a medium as a fit and broad 6’0" person).

However, they’re synthetic, and while they feel substantial as I said and of good quality they also pill substantially more than anything else I have tried (and I have like 30 hoodies or more). I personally prefer some blank cotton hoodies I bought over these (they make you feel like you’re wearing something luxurious), but I can’t deny they’re functional and a clothes shaving thingy solves the pilling problem mostly.

I think the model is k288 – the logo design and placement is different between the 4 I have but the quality (even though they were bought across a couple of years) is the exact same across all of them.

Kirkland signature is 60/40 cotton poly with a brass zipper and no drawstrings to get caught in anything or grabbed onto and is heavyweight. They’re $26

      >People still wear hoodies?
I do, but I never noticed if it is common where I live.
In this case it’s intended to be part of sports club uniform and we want to put our own logo and design onto it.

      >Nah just get some cheap windbreakers printed up
this is not what the club voted for, it’s not my decision, they want good quality zip hoodies.

k122’s decent quality but a really bad trashbag + too long for 99% of humans fit. they might be a good choice if its a sports club full of fat boomers though unironically. camber and american giant are the best full zip hoodies but probably too expensive? what’s the budget per hoodie?

no budget, most of us is just working class and middle class, but willing to pay more for better quality, but we also don’t need no luxury brands and many of us are familiar with carhartt and have good experiences with that brand. We are nice people, if someone can’t afford the team suit, we will get it for free.

Carhartt is the obvious choice for workwear. Ariat would be good too. Buy workwear not sportswear. Ariat is more aggressive looking for a bouncer and their rebar hoodies have a good breast pocket. It’s also more distinctive for staff to know who each other are in low light with the yellow logos.

going with a sportswear soft shell type jacket or even a fleece wouldn’t be a bad idea if his sports club isn’t totally sold on the idea of cotton hoodie. if you go that route get an actual softshell jacket though not some ghastly and uncomfortable polyester hoodie like your pic.

american giant are by far the best quality to price ratio. but they are slightly on the pricy side.

reigning champ would be second best. priced around the same.

            >carhartt
            >workwear
they’ve been a fast fashion brand that solely exists to milk good faith from their customers who remember their previous reputation when they used to be good for over 5 years now. every normie in rural america knows carhartt’s gone downhill and soon it will go the way of levi’s and only be worn in the cities and suburbs. used to love the brand.

    >get both the zip up and regular hoodie of theirs
    >both size L, but somehow different fit
    >zip up feels like a medium, regular like a xl
you’d think it would be other way around

also tell us what the average person in this sport’s club’s body type is roughly? are they all fit? boomers? etc.

goodwear is on sale right now way nicer, made in usa, and cheaper than k122 at the sale price. go with these.

this one especially i think would be a good fit for what you’re doing. if the contrast color drawstrings don’t work just buy a combo pack of them on amazon and take a half hour and swap em.

the only thing with them is i’m p sure the cuffs are meant to be worn folded over like the models doing in that pic, they’re super long.

      >Zipper hoodies are cringe
It would be interesting to understand what are the reasons why some, maybe many, think so.
Why do you think they are cringe, what do you associate with them?

    • Anonymous says:

      >Zipper hoodies are cringe
What’s wrong with zip-hoodies, I thought it was a common stable wardrobe, are did I fool myself?

          >Techbro soibois
zipped hoodies are associated with IT-guys?

          >you have to get a pullover, quarter zip, or crewneck
why not both, a pullover with a zipped hoodie?

          >quarter zip, or crewneck
I don’t like quarter zip or crewneck sweatshirts, makes me feel like I am suffocating if I am not able to unzip it 100% any time i need to.

but other than this, is there a reason why zipped hoodies are despised by some? Do people who hate them have something in common and how to they prefer to dress?

picrel plus they are always cut too long in the torso for 99% of people giving child proportions on even very tall men.

Carhartt Paxton Rain Defender heavyweight is much better quality wise than the k122 and at about the same price, also about 3oz heavier with a higher cotton percentage.

to this day my favorite hoodie is from gap.
i had a carhartt zip hoodie but the fabris was rough and not especially comfortable, and the cut was kinda weird. i also tried LA apparel which I thought was better than carhartt but weird fit as well.
