You don't find a time machine in the future. If you did, your current life wouldn't suck right now, would it?

If the idea with the timelines is correct, you wouldn't get back to the past of this timeline, but move to another one with a version of the past. And what you do there wouldn't affect this timeline. Maybe you couldn't even return, but jump to another timeline again with a version of the future.
Time at this theory of the universe is like a book, and every page is another timeline. You can see only one page when you open the book, but through time-travel you could change the page. And there might be even invinite timelines with all possible versions of past, present and future.
So you wouldn't even need to "change" things in the past, you could just directly jump to a timeline that fits your interests. Like a world where the Nazis have won - in case you find that desireable.

If my life got to the point I got a fucking time machine id figure doing anything to the help me in the past would negate the lessons I need to learn or path I need to take to get there and destroy the future.Unless something SUPER fucked up between now and then I aint fucking up my sick time travelling life to make it easier for me now if thats the prize, and then Id probably just try and negate the super fucked up part, not the "browsing LULZ with fellow retards" part

Wrong. I'm currently 22 years old working for Raytheon after my college internship with the company. I'm engaged to my college girlfriend of 4 years and we love each other deeply. We both talked about wanting a boy and a girl, along with a cat and dog. I make about 150K per year after taxes at Raytheon. My soon to be wife cooks breakfast and dinner for me every day. I eat lunch with my co workers. Life could not be any better. Life is good.

If I had a time machine I wouldn’t was it on improving my life now I would use it to get the lost writings of antiquity back, lost Mayan codices, lost films, the old Internet and countless other works that have been lost to us.
