The error he makes is the doctrine of unconditional election. Of course, election is conditional. God uses divine knowledge to know who to save. People just aren't arbitrarily picked. It's for a reason because God does everything with reason and purpose.

Whoa there buddy. It sounds like you're about to abridge the sovereignty of God.

      >"Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?" - Romans 9:21

God doesn't use divine knowledge to determine who to save, God creates with intent to save or not save and expresses his divine freedom for his own glory.

Maybe think next time before you abridge God's sovereignty, ok?

Except God does use divine knowledge. God foreknew Paul would be a valuable asset in converting people far before he was born thus decided to save Paul and write him in the book of life before birth. You believe God is arbitrary. I don't. I believe God is calculating, planned, and deliberate.

          >God foreknew Paul would be a valuable asset in converting people far before he was born thus decided to save Paul and write him in the book of life before birth.
But it is God who was ultimately the cause of Paul's usefulnes to Him. It is God who decided to create Paul at a certain time and place, to give him certain abilities that would make him useful for the conversion of gentiles... etc. So his election is still unconditional.

God causes everyone's talents, intellect, and ability within the soul yet still there is the mystery of the will and other things God may see. My point is God is a deliberate God. As a deliberate God whatever He does is for a reason. God overturned Paul's hostility and used His grace to convert him.

        >expresses his divine freedom for his own glory
So "he runs amok with power for the keks and to boost his ego"?

So therefore God is not arbitrary. God is deliberate, measured, and precise. God determines all things in weight, number, and measure.

Calvinism makes God look arbitrary. God is not arbitrary just picking and choosing who to save for no reason. God is planned and deliberate. He does everything for a reason.

The problem with the Buddhist threat of hell to me is that memory wipes take place between every rebirth, so staying a gorillion years in Ohio really isn't threatening at all since it will be the same as if it never happened in the end. Besides, it's not even me, besides, there's no such thing as me, so who even cares?

American Reddit atheists regularly post about their fear of hell and reassure themselves it's not real.

      >expresses his divine freedom for his own glory
So "he runs amok with power for the keks and to boost his ego"?

According to Calvinists yes. They want an arbitrary God who does things for the ego boost instead of a God who does things for a logical reason. I believe if God chooses someone as elect it's for a good reason, not for some ego boost.

Because it's what they were raised with lol. you'll see exJehovah's Witnesses claiming they have fears over that religions armageddon shit. It's not some supernatural underlying fear it's just a matter of what you were raised with.

Everything you quote is fine until there is no mention of Jesus Christ ANYWHERE for salvation. The only way to go to Heaven is by accepting Jesus, which is preached to all. You quoted that there is nothing anyone can do, wrong, Gospel, Acceptance of free pardon by faith, baptism, read the Bible and go to church till you die, go be caught up to heaven.
