>yeah dude meddle is like the best pink floyd album not many people know about it it's like from before dark side but it's really good
meddle:
>ONE OF THESE DAYS IM GOING TO CUT YOU INTO LITTLE PIECES
>yeah go ahead and pad this completely forgettable song with over a full minute of sports fans singing, slap a shitty stereo effect on it and call it good
>shitty brit jazz with insanely stupid lyrics "As I reach for a peach, slide a rind down behind/The sofa in San Tropez"
>"you just know" the song aka shitty brit blues
>23 minutes of noodling
Why are prog fans all like this? Why is it so hard to admit that everything other than Dark Side and Wish You Were Here are a waste of time? Fucking insufferable posers.
You can write out all this snarky stuff if you’d like but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s brilliant and you’re wrong.
You sound like you unironically think Atom Heart Mother is >3/5.
I unironically think AHM is at least a 4/5 maybe even 5/5
Atom Heart Mother Suite kicks ass.
Wish You Were Here is their only perfect album.
correct, but Meddle is still pretty fucking good.
*animals
>the whiniest voice ever: welcom my son TO THE MACHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE
just for that: no
jeez, you got filtered by that? The vocals on that are fine, I've seen more people have a problem with Have A Cigar which doesn't even have any pink floyd members singing
Atom Heart Mother would be their best if it had Syd's Octopus on side 2 and maybe another stronger track from Madcaps Laughs. It would be their best after Piper from the Syd era. Not too much of a stretch since Roger and David worked on it.
I agree, also remove the loud chewing sounds from alans psychedelic breakfast.
I dont understand how people like wish you were here. its so boring and uncreative compared to every album that came before it. dark side is pretty good but not their best IMO
>remove the loud chewing sounds from alans psychedelic breakfast.
Seriously this. Sunny Side Up is one of the best tracks on the album, and the first half is ruined by the chewing. I split it into two tracks cus it stops half way through and the rest is pure bliss.
I like it, it's funny, and what breakfast would be complete with breakfast talk but no actual eating? The concept would be missing something
Based autist writing this in every pink floyd thread.
>and Wish You Were Here
>Why is it so hard to admit that everything other than Dark Side and Wish You Were Here are a waste of time?
you're forgetting one
If meddle is for posers, barret shills are straight up pseud contrarian naggers.
or I just like the music frognagger
>or I just like the music frognagger
>23 minutes of noodling
Fuck you OP, you actual braindead retard
Echoes is literally their best song, ya fucking pleb
You forgot to shit on A Pillow of Winds which is secretly the best song on the A-Side
IMO it's better than the rest of the album, but nothing special. The whole album and everything before it (except for Syd era I guess) just feels like a lack of effort.
#t=7m
aw yeah another shitty blues jam that goes nowhere
>mu actually defending this
Disclaimer, I actually know my shit when it comes to Pink Floyd and used to love this era, listened to audience recordings of live shows and shit. And then I grew up.
It’s not Pink Floyd’s fault your wrong
animals > meddle > dark side of the moon >piper at the gates of dawn
Pretty sure this ordering is verbatim from the DSM-5 for like a dozen mental illnesses.
>Animals is a waste of time
Opinion Discarded
Want to post something better than meddling about publicly acclaimed projects? Not that you'd be able to..
Wow that looks like neuralblender. Damn I miss those days.
meddle isnt the best. pic rel is the best pink floyd album
That’s one of funnest records to play though
Echoes, the whole B side
Animals is the greatest mand then atom heart mother. Then probably meddle and then wywh and dark side
meddle is just a great album
This is written by hands of a man who actually loves this album.
You wouldn't have all this to write about it if you didn't listen to it loads and loads. It's okay, making threads like this is fun.
It was my first record I bought and to this day it remains in my top 10. Very formative album.
this is what I thought too
I clicked on the thread thinking "lmao i love these threads" tbh
>autist is incapable of understanding people feel different things and get different levels of satisfaction from them based both on their nature and nurture
I don't like the album either but you genuinely write like you have a double digit IQ
Dark Side Of The Moon is something else when you listen to it on shrooms
shut the fuck up! 😀
No!
I'm going to rape you! hard!
Not if I rape you first!
>filtered by meddle
absolutely embarrassing thread, OP
It used to be my favorite album, it's just trash to me now. I actually got into jazz learning to improvise like the San Tropez solo, embarrassing as that is to admit.
t. Pseudo
The starting track is great, those 23 minutes of noodling are awesome and the rest of tracks are enjoyable except for Fearless, that I find boring and sometimes I just skip it. Seamus is cute and short enough not to tire you.
And TDSOTM, WYWH, Animals and The Wall are all amazing albums. Other albums, like Piper or Atom Heart, are also worth a chance. Even in some of their least popular albums you can still find some cool songs.
FUCK YOU, OP!
JUST... JUST... FUCK YOU!
OK!
FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING FUCK!
MEDDLE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
OK?
FUCK YOU!
I like San Tropez and Fearless 🙁
Anyone who doesn't think Shine On is lightyears clear of Echoes is a pseud
I just like the whale song parts man.
filtered retard homosexual
I listened to Echoes tonight while tripping on acid walking around the Swan River in Perth, it was pretty incredible, what a night it's been anons.
The early Psych Rock Shit is pretty good generally although I personally prefer The Moody Blues. It's not a bad album but there are some skiable tracks. I like the sports fans chanting actually I think adds a lot to the general mood of that track and it's verymuch not something an American Band would have put on a Psychedelia Album that does actually add to that sort of woozy effect of the overall song. I think you might be more into British Mod Psych than Prog if you gave it a shot but I could be wrong and there's definitely Prog this could be leveraged against those or less. Like if you were to hear let's say RUSH on the shorter songs and maybe some Krautrock (even MDK era Vander albeit not all of Magmas total output) that might run into these sort of issues in composition less.
Fearless is great, fuck yall
Fearless is totally great, feels like it could have been a huge radio hit too
Nick Mason's band does a really great cover of it.
