www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-u1Pjce4Lg. Is this the single most inefficient exploitation scheme ever conceived? Posted on May 21, 2023 by Anonymous Is this the single most inefficient exploitation scheme ever conceived? It could not possibly be any dumber.
How is it inefficient? Near zero military and occupation costs and free resources.
Europeans dont want colonies, just the resources in them. A steady supply of commodities is better than trying to run some imperium.
>and free resources.
There are no "free resources", morons.
These resources are bought, and at a high cost.
>These resources are bought,
Lmao retard. Almost all the "payments" conveniently remain as investments in Europe and low prices are extorted from the sellers under threat of assassination
How is sending endless aid. Accepting endless migrants who statistically don’t work and take unemployment benefits. And sending your military to rescue whatever tinpot dictator is there every five minutes they try to overthrow him “free”?
>And sending your military to rescue
More likely to kill said tinpot dictator for raising commodity prices/selling to china or not keeping all the export cash invested in Europe
The recent interventions in Africa didn't kill or remove any dictators, but simply helped them keep their thrones against muslim terrorist organizations and other rebel groups.
That doesn't have anything to do with anything. France supports any "black governor" that sends them cheap commodities sold for 1/10 to 1/3rd of their historical prices and agrees to keep the cash in Europe, minus the costs of running the resource extraction.
They didn't even bother helping their friendly dictator in Mali keep power, even though the French army was present in the country.
Dude got overthrown by a junta while the French army watched, and the junta then proceeded to tell France to fuck off and invited Russia instead.
I think the last time France even bothered helping an African leader against rebels was in 2004 in Ivory Coast.
Imagine what could be if these nations (they aren't really nations but anyway) were allowed to develop and France could still collect tax revenue from them. Imagine what could be if a local economy was allowed to develop and they could hire local contractors to do the job for them for half the price and didn't have to rely on domestic companies charging an arm and a leg.
Imagine what could be if France didn't have to spent millions on tardwrangling incompetent tinpot dictators siphoning money into their own pockets everywhere and could instead just use their own administrators.
>inb4 that would never work, nogs can't into civilization
What does this have to do with French neocolonialism tho?
France only has influence in like one third of Subsaharan Africa, and yet the other two thirds are also shitholes without what you describe.
Well, yes, but my point was that the fact that France still has vested economic interests in the region only makes the absurdity of "decolonization" all the more obvious (It costs them money every single day).
Blaming the CFA franc for Africa being a shithole is reddit meme.
The CFA franc can be left at any moment, but most countries won't as it benefit them.
The Gothic and Norman model of conquering.
>greetings foreign tribe, we are competent administrators offering governing services for a small fee
>because our ambassador was attacked by brigands we have deployed a garrison in the area for your protection
How did this meme of blaming France for everything bad in Africa even start? I swear it's all over the internet now.
I mean yeah, French ex-colonies in Africa are shitholes....but then again so are African countries that never had anything to do with France. Africa in general is a shithole and have been since long before colonialism even started.
Not only the internet.
The latest wakanda movie literally featured a scene in which French soldiers attempt to steal Mali's vibranium.
I wish I was joking...
At this point I simply stopped believing any bullcrap about French, Belgian or any other evil white boogeyman's supposed actions in Africa.
It's almost always either complete bullshit, or a gross misrepresentation of reality.
Turns out the average person is a gullible retard
Nothing can be done about it
Their actions during the colonial period were pretty bad.
Look up the Algerian War. On all sides it had Mexico tier brutality.
Algerians are mentally ill.
In the first battles the French had with them after landing in june 1830, they were shocked by the fact Algerians would mutilate the genitals of the dead and captured.
This shit was part of Algerian culture, to the point Algerian horsemen always had hooks with them to retrieve the body of their dead to prevent the usual mutilation of their body.
Eventually the French got tired of their shit and became brutal too.
Pic related, typical Algerian warfare
>How did this meme of blaming France for everything bad in Africa even start?
It started among self-hating left-wing French people who were trying to justify mass immigration.
Then it spread to French speaking Africa through the internet.
It eventually reached the English speaking world, where it became popular among both leftists (as they love blaming white people for Africa's failures) and right-wingers (as they tend to despise France and are glad their leftists are shitting on another country that their own for once).
The Italians of all people seem to particularly love this Blame France meme.
Yeah, especially their cowardly politically correct "far right" who'd rather blame le ebin french neocolonialism for immigration rather than africans inability to build a functional society.
How can anyone see all these modern hoaxes being crafted in front of our very eyes, and yet still believe in the so called "Congo genocide" by Belgium?
Reminder that Caspian Report (the dude who made that propaganda video) is an Azerbaijani nationalist who hates France because it supports Armenia.
Even fucking reddit aknowledges that this guy is full of shit
Curious how Gabon is the second best black african country despite using the CFA, while Congo, Somalia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan...etc are massive shitholes despite not using it
It's almost like the CFA isn't the deciding factor in whether african countries are shitholes or not
Is Gabon safe to tourism?
I mean, it's still Africa....
who came up with that map?
Why should Iran be avoided?
Why is Japan designated as less safe than the Black areas of the US?
The overwhelming majority of black american offenders target other black people, m8.
What areas in Japan are you supposed to avoid?
Worth noting that Gabon has a ton of oil and relatively few people
Yeah, the French are hopelessly inept at Empires. They sacrificed their Frankish core and diluted their country with Negros from Africa. They will not last the next two centuries. And because their ethnic identity has completely melted away and only a cultural and linguistic identity is left, nothing can save them. At best they can hope for a resurgent Germany to look West, not East and incorporate the remaining white people through assimilation and become a new Frankish or rather Germanic Empire again. Germany would really like direct access to the Atlantic, which will finally allow it to have colonial aspirations again. But differently from France and England, Germany because of it‘s unique cultural history will not fall into the trap of letting their colonial subjects study in Europe or treat them as equals, which was the primary cause of Decolonization through resentment of the colonial upper class.
Germany doesn't "want" anything except the status quo. They already have access to the Atlantic through their North Sea and Baltic ports, as well as uninhibited trade with the rest of the EU (which mainly benefits them, as they produce most of Europe's manufactured goods). Any imperial ambitions died with the end of WW2; they are content to remain a vassal of the US as long as they're free to conduct trade.
Tu n'auras jamais une culture avancée. Tu n'as pas d'Académie, pas d'Opéra, pas de patrimoine.
All these French government shills ITT defending their subversion and central control
Dude, you got deboonked by the BBC and fucking redditors.
Just let it go already, your shitty scapegoat for Africa's failure is easily disproven bullshit.
This board is becoming worse than reddit, as shown by OP's post.
At this point, posting reddit is an improvement.
Who should I trust on that topic?
Actual economics experts who bring up data and are published on renowned news sites (the pic here
) or some random third-world youtuber who made a conspiracy theory video to shit on a country he doesn't like (OP's link)?
did bring up facts and statistics.
Meanwhile, the video you posted contains nothing but unbacked assertions and even brought up the fake news about "France having assassinated 22 African presidents".
>killed between 35 and 300 of their own soldiers for being black
The soldiers killed at Thiaroye weren't killed "for being black" but because they mutined.
The troops who repressed the mutiny and killed the mutineers were also black btw.
I'm sure it isn't actually a thing but I also don't like France so I'm going to pretend it is.
alons les gars
both former british and french territories in westafrica are shitholes for basically the same reasons
>for basically the same reasons
