thinly veiled /int/ thread
Get over it.
>Never the goal
>Never would have happened
The US would have to screw up HORRIBLY for this to have happened. Also, I'm pretty sure Japan just wanted the US out of the Pacific so they could have the Philippines and a better front to attack Australia.
It would be possible if Japan somehow discovered the nuke thanks to intel from Germany.
They'd have used it religiously over anyone who stood against them.
The US is huge, how would they even reach their manufacturing infrastructure?
Rush through long range bombers. If Japanese high command knew about the potential of the A-bomb they'd direct R&D towards it. Since this is an utter fantasy we might also imagine they made fluke breakthroughs in jet technology.
Japan could have had every German nuke scientist that existed and it wouldn't have helped them one bit. They had nothing to spare.
How was Japanese Imperial rule over it's subjected nations?
Japs really thought they were going to dictate terms in the white house.
The actual good ending of course was the US stopping lend lease to the USSR without warning after the Normandy beachheads were secure and later using the atom bomb to beat them back to their prewar borders as well as ensure KMT victory in China and gently encourage France and Britain to form an alliance.
France and Britain keep their colonies and head Europe. China and the rest of the world falls under US sway. Probably not necessary to drop the bomb on Moscow, but it is always an option. No desegregation or civil rights or anything stupid domestically. The world would be far more peaceful and stable today, we'd probably be colonizing Mars and shit by now.
>we'd probably be colonizing Mars and shit by now.
Why do people want this Happy Meal Warhammer 40k fantasy to happen?
Seems like an important step. One day the sun will bellow into a red giant and cook the Earth and for all we know our civilization may exist only for a brief time, this may be the last opportunity to make sure our solar system isn't just lifeless rock.
We've got billions of years until that happens
and we might destroy ourselves in 100
Your fantasy scenario basically did exist in the 90s after the Soviet collapse. America had the opportunity to rule the world in a stable way and blew it over the middle east (lol). Proving they're not mature enough to rule.
we traded a perpetual american empire for poland being a NATO member
nah you finally liberated Europe, Patton would have wanted to drive the Russians behind the Ural mountains
the japanese didn't even have boats that could sail to NY. pathetic cope
>Japan
>making it to the East coast
Lmao they could barely go into China with their logistics. The mental gymnastics of this scenario is hilariously ridiculous
