        The mackinaw cruiser and mackinaw lined shirt jac are worth their price. You just missed a 40% sale over Christmas though, but you can buy used. They last forever.

        Filsons other stuff isn’t as worth it though. Maybe the wool pants.

        not overpriced at all, majority of the cost comes from the use of shrunken wool which provides an almost impervious shell that will stand up to rain snow and wind without causing you to overheat that is not flimsy at all unless modern plastic shells

        the other main cost is their patented design of using an additional layer on the back that doubles as a pocket and a cape.

        also 12 pockets in total in sensible locations

      i had a filsoy mackinog cruiser. the shoulder got ripped when i carried a log, and then the sleeve got ripped when i carried firewood. bemidji woolen mills 30oz fabric is vastly superior.
