It just works. I don't have to figure out what hardware works with windows. As long as I don't buy a Mac I know for a fact that windows will work on the machine.
Simple - there is no alternative. Linux is not user friendly, no one wants to spend their life in a fucking terminal, and Mac is dumb. That's all, not a big mystery.

It's because of a horrible combination of Entra/Azure, Office/365, and what said, all contemporarily. If you want an example of how insanely dependant organisations are on it, with the rebranding of Azure to Entra, Microsoft changed some of their licencing around (privileged) identity management, and decided to start selling it in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. They claimed they weren't changing any of that licencing on their rebranding webpage, but they did anyway. Companies are coughing it up despite the lie. When their whole damned AD is in Entra ID and your fleet is in Intune, what other choice do they have? It's totally fucking fucked.
