Windows 7

>project no longer supports windows 7
>installer uncompatible with windows 7
>windows 7 no longer permitted because is full of bugs (it isn't)
What the fuck happened in this year with win 10 push over? Everything was working fine.

Just because you ignore the flaws of your dead, unsupported operating system in the hopes that a cartoon mascot will incarnate and suck your cock, doesn't mean they don't exist, stupid n7gger.

While I hate Linux as much as anybody with a sex life, this is actually a better bet for n7ggers than Windows 7. You've been fighting with barely-functional hacked drivers for years (so no change there), plus you get actual security updates. There's a fair chance all the malware that you have on your 7 shitbox - that you're too baby ducked to detect, let alone remove - won't run properly in Wine, either.

        kek this cope
Normalfags don't hate Linux. They don't even think about Linux. It may as well not even exist as far as they are concerned.
The nerds who actively hate Linux are omega rank in the sexual hierarchy.

      Imagine my shock.

      Still using Windows 7
All my tools including Matlab and Creo Parametric still work and still get updated. If I really really need MS Office, there's a workaround to install Office365 but I just use it through the browser anyway.

That's what it says and I was surprised as well, but you can run the 2022b installer just fine on Windows 7, and everything runs as normal. Just got Update 5 yesterday, too.

Because everything depends on on a large amount of libraries and once one of them drops support all the others are forced too as well. Just look how all the non Firefox browsers simultaneously dropped support.

Once a major js library no longer supports Chromium 109 say goodbye to web browsing on 7 because nudevs don't want support it. Cloudflare blocks half the internet for Windows XP and Vista users since January this year.

It seems very coordinated, many programs right now just suddenly start requiring weird function calls in dlls that windows 7 does (conveniently enough) not have. That's by the way also why chromium based browsers stopped working, they have literally just added dependencies on dll functions that are not supported/exist in 7.

It is, however, very possible to port wine dlls to work on 7 and use them as a workaround. I keep my fingers crossed.

Or people have been itching to use that function call for increased performance for 10 years at this point. I'm still waiting for the AVX2 Revolution myself. All my programs are AVX2 minimum, fuck them 2500k fags.

Except of course, performance has not increased, nor have any new crazy features been added. The calls i'm talking about are shit like, for example, geolocation on hogwarts legacy, it requires a function called "GetUserDefaultGeoName" in the kernel32.dll that 7 simply lacks. It's totally arbitrary and nonsensical.

I had to move to windows 10 due to games/driver compatibility, is tolerable if you debloat it.

Yup. Debloating makes it better than W7 imo. Don't see a point in upgrading to W11 tho

It's just something that happens eventually. Vista became unusable for me due to new software and updates using new WinAPI functionality some time around 2018. It was only a matter of time for 7.
