Windows 11 is quite good, actually.
As someone who's been using it since April and hasn't used 10 since, nah
Name 1 thing it's better and faster at than 10
HDR and multi screen support. It's literally the only upgrade amongst a slew of bullshit.
can block driver updates through WU from group policy and overall easier to disable automatic updates / restarts
Oh wow, a feature from the fucking windows XP times. Thanks pajeets, I'm totally convinced.
>block driver updates through WU from group policy
Just like windows 10
>overall easier to disable automatic updates / restarts
Works in windows 10 just as well
mac, linux.
I think you misread the question
HDR, audio, OLED gimmicks.
It is very, very similar to windows 10, though.
>haha, dude, check this out. They quit putting gunpowder in our food!
Windows fags are the worst
I'm glad the girls convinced you
Based.
Windows 11 is so much more customizable and better looking than 10, but it still has a long way to go in terms of some rough features that hopefully get ironed out with continuous updates. Dropdown menu inconveniences, slow animations sometimes, etc.
People said Microsoft would never go back to Aero since people hated it with Vista and by the time it clicked tablets came around so they needed Metro. But the new Fluent design is basically just a more sophisticated Aero. I hope they iterate on it more.
why chromium over ungoogled-chromium or even brave
I'm using Ungoogled Chromium. I downloaded a build off GitHub which came like that and I didn't bother changing it because in my view, Ungoogled Chromium is what Chromium should've been all along. Don't like being reminded of Google.
>new Fluent design is basically just a more sophisticated Aero
it's just Aero with a different CSS
ok that looks good
you will NEVER be a real windows vista.
It isn't THOUGH.
i'm utterly astonished by how fucking busted mspaint is in windows 11
inclusive of fucked up legacy issues which existed on the first version of win10 mspaint, which I was buttblasted to discover were never fixed even throughout win10's lifetime
pajeetsoft is fucking trash there is no reason 11 needed to exist
No. It's awful, barely amateur levels of UI and UX design. Just try right clicking in different places, they fucked up all the popup menus, the kerning, the padding, etc.
Exactly. The UI is inconsistent. Try double clicking a window several times, and it only resizes it half the time. Try opening a folder, it attempts to rename it. How did this pass a QA dept? Oh, that's right, they don't have one.
post ram usage
There is zero reason to use that piece of shit
>Comes with new devices
>performs worse than 10
>requires you to have a working webcam on laptops starting next year
>bloat process run my desktop hotter for no reason
you to have a working webcam on laptops starting next year
umm.. why?
Good question
Stop asking questions
it's for Satya, he wants to watch you masturbate.
My guess is they want to push something akin to Apple FaceID
I use LTSC
Why is her foot so fat
Give me free and seamless upgrade or go fuck yourself.
I hope that's what they'll do anyway, like they did with 10.
I'd probably give it a try if they added the setting to make the taskbar smaller
Windows 10 only just became usable and by the time it goes out of support most people will skip it for the next one, just like they skipped Vista and 8.
stage 5: acceptance
Meanwhile I'm still using win7. I haven't formatted my drive since 2015.
no LTSC version yet which means not even microshit takes it seriously
basically, 11fags are betatesting cucks
>slows down SSDs
>UI and perf latency
>literal electron OS
tip top kek
Don't forget the absolute flagship feature of W11
>Random issues with AMD CPUs
>Random issues with Intel CPUs
Did they fix the file transfer error yet where it's slower to move files over compared to 10?
Nope, literally just tested it out with a 7GB file.
>slows down SSDs
This. The explorer is so much fucking slower on my SSD build it's not even funny. Booting up takes twice as long.
Yes, if by good you mean terrible then you're correct.
>Account gets banned and you lose access to your local pc because someone sent you a photo of their vacation
>Windows 11 is quite good, actually
I'd like an open source alternative to windows that can run dotnet programs or windows executables..
like ReactOS but you know...good.
It might be when it's shell will reach feature parity with Windows 95 / NT 4 shell. Until then, it's crap.
Cheers!
Can you post the other as well?
after an hour i realize i should have checked the archive first.
where did you procure the first one?
its good, but HDR is still broken. One minute it will look amazing, then the same tab another minute will refuse to adjust brightness.
Did you lube before?
Remember to always lube before taking one in.
Some older games won't work with Win 11 so take that into consideration
newfag
Actually I'm a 40yo oldfag but thanks for playing. I know for a fact some won't because I see random forum posts about it for certain games. Don't blame me when one of them doesn't work. At least double check first.
>I see random forum posts
stupid oldfag brainlet
go fuck yourself mr know it all
I'm on a toaster from 2010 so I'm not allowed to use Windows 11.
I agree.
It's actually more stable for me than windows 10, case in point I was having issues with RE7 crashing on startup due to some directx fuckery, and when it did I would have to hard reset my system to get my display back.
In windows 11 it actually kills the process properly and returns everything to a working state.
I rate windows 11.....11/10!
i installed windows 11 on an 8 core i7 11th gen wtih a pcie ssd and 32 gb of ram. it's slow as shit.
Shill thread, Microsoft is paying me and I am choosing to represent them while saying: nagger nagger nagger FAG
give me a virtual machine image for testing with QEMU
