I'm just wondering what would motivate an intelligent and informed person to post here, because I know they do exist, however rare. I've seen them. A lot of "intelligent" people here think they are the most intelligent because they are the most rational and logical person in the thread, obviously. Furthermore, some people will notice patterns and think "I used to think like that, so I must be better and more correct", they assume they get closer to "the truth" overtime. You also just don't understand them and they know you don't so your wrong and vice versa. You have no idea how long they have spent thinking about the subject they have invested a lot of time and brainpower into it and now they are emotionally attached to the idea and will adopt a solider mindset to defend it.
No one I know personally wants to debate philosophy for hours on end. Also I like making Christians look bad because I view them as a corrosive force on society and truth.
