>very wealthy
>large cities

Fatimid caliphate...
They were literally arabs though
>The Fatimids, a dynasty of Arab origin,[5] trace their ancestry to Muhammad's daughter Fatima and her husband ‘Ali b. Abi Talib, the first Shi‘ite imam.
your question was
>Why was there never an Egyptian headed one?
Yes Egyptian headed, that is headed by an Egyptian, i didnt mean headed IN egypt else the mamluks would also count
>the mamluks would also count
they weren't a caliphate
caliphate sultanate it doesnt matter, medieval state
The Fatimid were Berbers.
I actually believe you. The moment some historical figure starts screeching he's a descendant of Ali doubt creeps in
the fatimids existed.
"Egyptian" identity would mean Coptic Christian identity; all Muslim Egyptians were Arabized.
>Egyptian" identity would mean Coptic Christian identity
Yikes why are christcucks like this. The ones who destroyed ancient Egyptian culture were Greeks, Romans, and finally Christians.
>The ones who destroyed ancient Egyptian culture were Greeks, Romans, and finally Christians.
I am a pagan and I fully agree with you here. My point is that what the Muslims would consider "Egyptian" (or rather Misriyy) by that point would be the Coptic and otherwise Hellenized & Romanized Christians. Islamization meant Arabization.
>My point is that what the Muslims would consider "Egyptian" (or rather Misriyy) by that point would be the Coptic and otherwise Hellenized & Romanized Christians. Islamization meant Arabization.
And why should that matter to anyone? Who gives a shit. I have no sympathy for christcucks who bitch and moan about arabs/islams fucking them over but then turning around to ignore/downplay their role in ending ancient cultures only to start larping as these ancient cultures once the modern era rolled around.
>And why should that matter to anyone?
Because it helps answers the question OP asked.
>Islamization meant Arabization
Why are 90% of Muslims unable to hold a conversation in Arabic?
Because they were not swamped with Arab immigrants in the way Egypt was.
The Egyptian fellahin possesed their own unique identity
This is the real answer. "Arab" culture is peak sovllessness.
Egyptians are a slave race since R1B conquered them and founded the Old Kingdom.
