Did you forget the English Civil War? Also the various Scottish rebellions throughout history and the Troubles in Ireland.

        >american education

It's literally their equivalent to the revolutions of the 18th/19th centuries, moron. They had a century and a half of a headstart, so the issues others were grappling with no longer applied to britain.

They had- the English civil war was that revolution- but the Angloids went into Stockholm Syndrome, piss, and shit, and cried themselves and quickly got a king back after the scary Lord Protector was dead.

A nation of hopeless slaves to inbred Royals.

      >Lord Protector was a religious tyrant
      >The restored King was widely popular for being chilled out on religious matters and letting the people enjoy life again, party Chad loved by all
Oh gee I wonder why Charles II managed to bring the monarchy back

    1688 wasn't a revolution
It was a foreign conquest of England without the English putting up any fight
It was kinda like 1940 for France, but even more shameful

No it wasn't you fricking moron. A monarch outed himself as Catholic in a Protestant nation of which the monarch is the head of the church for. William of Orange (who was not a foreign King) was married into English royalty and an agreement was made for him to co-rule with his English wife.

If it was a "foreign conquest", it would have started a new dynasty. It didn't. There was never an Orange dynasty.

You're talking to an irrational Anglophobe there, don't expect anything related to reality to make any kind of sense to him.

      >Foreign conquest results in Dutch bankers and shipwrights moving to England
      >England enriches itself at expense of the Dutch
      >King William doesn't even try to impose anything Dutch on England, realm remains entirely English and governed as such
      >William dies and all the already very loose ties to Netherlands cut
I'd take take conquest too, it's literally a free refurbishment

Magna Carta. An Englishman was a free citizen for half a millennium before France had their revolution and sort of managed to get there (after building up a death toll of just under one and a half million Frenchmen). When the American revolution kicked off it was because the founding fathers believed that they were being denied their rights as Englishmen.

You should’ve maybe specified why was England so calm after the Glorious revolution (skipping the civil war), or why was Britain (not Ireland) generally calm by the latter part of 18th century when the Jacobite cause had burned itself out in Scotland. I assume what you meant is that Britain wasn’t really swept by up by the various revolutions since the French Revolution, which in the following century and a half pretty much saw virtually every monarchical state (bar Scandinavia and the Low Countries) overthrown. It is true that Britain has been relatively politically stable through the last two centuries, less so for Ireland though.
