Why so many people are ready to trade free as in ‘free speech’ to free as in ‘free beer’?
Examples: Smart TVs, YouTube, etc.

Beer tastes better. It feels nice to touch a cold bottle of beer.
Speech is something only sad incel nerd chuds care about.
I prefer the free speech of a beautiful little girl to a bottle a beer, honestly.
That is wrongthink, I am going to get you banned.
free speech has never existed you massive retard
Okay, then free as in ‘freedom’.
Spbp. The second your government feels threatened it will strike. See, CIA and the prosecution of anti draft activists

Free speech is a danger to society and people who advocate for it should rightfully be considered terrorists. When's the last time you saw a normal upstanding citizen advocating for free speech? Never. It's always insane radicals with an agenda they want to push without criticism or consequence.
Is something wrong with people’s perception of the technological advancements? Why do they agree to lose their freedom and receive a product instead of that?
Freedom isn’t real anyway :/
There are better ideas, like harmony
Free speech doesn't mean what you think it means.
>THE WAY THEY MAKE YOUR TV CHEAPER IS TO SWAY THE COST TO APP DEVELOPERS TO PUT SHITWARE ON YOUR TV-
-plugs an Android stick into it
Fuck off, lmao.
because normies think "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" and just don't care enough to inconvenience themselves with switching to freedom-respecting alternatives
when have "freedom-respecting alternatives" ever done anything for me?
given you freedom, supposedly.
can you eat freedom?
no but you can use your freedom to do things otherwise difficult or not possible.
the average person has no idea how these things work
when a company offering a service says they "take user privacy very seriously", the average person takes it at face value
they have no deeper understanding, and are therefore incapable of independent thought
