              >Just inform yourself about the new outlook applications that sends all your E-Mail passwords to Microsoft Servers in Plain Text
This is a normal function of web auth. Passwords are hashed server side. Auth0 does the same thing and their whole business is authentication, and they were bought by Okta for $6+ billion a few years ago. Here's a thread on Auth0 with someone asking how to not send plain text passwords to the Auth0 servers, not knowing that this is how auth works because nobody is using HTTP anymore, and the info is being sent to a trusted server
              https://community.auth0.com/t/sending-hashed-passwords-to-auth0/101618

Here's some more information about why you don't hash passwords client side

Did you look at these links ? These are the ones apparently about "spyware" in windows
The first two links are about telemetry.
The 3rd is about antivirus sending files saying it doesn't ask, but Windows 11 does ask if you want to send files to microsoft.
The 4th link is about the beta/insider versions of windows that is not the typical consumer product.
last two links are about telemetry

Telemetry is not spyware for starters. You agree to send telemetry during installation. That would be like inviting the cops into your house and saying they can look at anything and then accusing them of spying on you. Another reason the telemetry is not a problem is because microsoft provides an application that shows you exactly what telemetry is being sent to their servers. So that 6th link above saying they had to use a man-in-the-middle attack to view the encrypted telemetry data is retarded
          https://learn.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/privacy/diagnostic-data-viewer-overview

i suggest you have a look at this if you want to know what windows is connecting to

they're not looking at "all your shit" though. You can see from the telemetry they're sending in the diagnostic viewer, it's hardly anything. And pretty much all of it has to do with microsoft products. Like it will log an entry when you open Excel, then another when you close it, or it there's an error. If you open Chrome or something it doesn't log anything

Don't know about you, but I'm already playing my games on it. You're going to have to roll with the unstable nature of gnu/linux. Some update will break shit sooner or later but I would rather have autistic retards messing shit up and me finding ways to mitigate this retardation than deal with so-called professionals over at Microsoft fucking up with their updates. (See October update fuckery.)

For me the key is having all AMD hardware, following after Valve's footsteps makes it easier to game on linux. Nvidia is still not there yet they were just forced to move to Wayland so their drivers are extremely hit-or-miss.

I tried it out and it was utter fucking garbage.

They fucking downgraded the taskbar for no reason, the new thing is a fucking abomination.

The right click menu is ridiculous beyond belief, they added a new menu but didn't also add all the old options to the new one so they instead add another option in the new menu to... open the old menu instead. This is stupid beyond comprehension.

The redesign of the Task Manager is also equally retarded. They replaced the compact, readable, immediately clear tab bar at the top with a fuckhuge, wide piece of shit on the left that wastes ton of space with literal empty nothingness if you want to get labels, or you can collapse it and instead of text you get icons so irrelevant to the tab's content they may as well be randomly generated. Extremely bad.

The new UI in general seems to waste a lot of fucking space for no reason (the W10 "modern" UI is equally bad and ugly though), everything is wide and fuckhuge, as if it's intended to be operated via a forehead-slam touchscreen instead of a mouse or keyboard. Terrible.

And perhaps what is the most disappointing is Auto HDR. I recently got a pretty nice HDR1000 screen and being able to automatically convert SDR games to HDR sounded like a really cool feature, but I quickly realized that this crap only works on a restrictive, small list of games and basically nothing I wanted to play in the future was on it. I tried it in Dark Souls 3 which was allegedly supported and after turning it on I couldn't even fucking tell if it was actually on or was bugged and not triggering. The monitor was in HDR mode but the game didn't look good, I assume it was bugged and not working and I didn't have the patience to troubleshoot. Shit once again.

When you take into account the fact that you need Secure Boot and TPM turned on for fuck knows what mysterious purpose (they certainly don't provide any useful functionality to me), W11 is more garbage and a greater miss than W8.

I update to the newest version whenever i need to reformat or swap out the motherboard, and i simply don't care what any of you have to say about it.

I really like the look of the new update, paint looks like a nice simple replacement for those of us who want a light image editor.

New windows versions should be released like every 10 years now. I get it in times like in the 90s that they needed to release a new version because there were big jumps in the hardware at the time, but right now there is literally no reason to update to windows 11 from 10.

Win11 is based but also shouldn't have been Win11, should have just been 10. So it's not really based.

Dammit, I think I posted on the wrong thread. Anyways, I still like Windows 7, but I don't use it as a daily driver. explorer.exe is pretty crusty by now. I still go back to 7 and 98SE for nostalgia though.
