why isn't humanity more concerned with the fact that we're literally gonna fucking die?
I cannot comprehend my existence ending, it is terrifying
why isn't humanity more concerned with the fact that we're literally gonna fucking die?

I am concerned. That’s why I take my health seriously and don’t do dangerous things.
>For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
>dies anyway
God already died. I killed him.
Honestly I don't care that much. I hope it doesn't hurt.
Have you considered that you might be an NPC?
Crying about death is one of the most NPC and banal things to do. You have zero original thoughts and moreover you are completely pathetic.
Reincarnation. Try to get out of the flesh and you will enter new salubrious dimensions.
If existence ends with death, there's nothing to be afraid of, because you literally won't experience death.
If existence does not end with death, there's nothing to be afraid of, because death isn't really death.
You are a basedboy homosexual. We are going to die so what
get a job
get a woman
you won't have time to think about homo shit like this
and then you will realise how little it matters
Could be used as a reply to maybe most posts on this board
one of the reasons I don't care about my life is because I am just a useless incel anyway
I don't really have anything to lose
I have eternal life
What a goofy fuckin fairy tale. Grow up.
Stop being an incel, get married, have children, find Jesus.
That is an instant cure for fear of death. Especially the find Jesus part.
Unironcally find God. I used to be paralised by fear but He kept giving me signs and now I'm a believer.
Stop caring about things you can't change.
Just do what you did before you were born.
Turn into cum, aye aye sir
Most people believe in the afterlife. Not everyone is an atheist or agnostic. We instinctively know life goes on.
Correction, you instinctively are so terrified of death that you’ll make up radically irrational conclusions to hold up the denial that you won’t die
We don't though. We have something called a soul.
You are an electrical being inside your nervous system and your continued existence is dependent on the survival of those neurons and their ability to fire. If you drink too much water and don’t have enough sodium you will straight up fade away as your neurons lose their firing primer.
none of that contradicts anything
has said
It directly contradicts the idea that you have an immortal soul. I mean the lack of reading comprehension here speaks to a underlying low cognition that facilitates such a primitive belief
That's NPC talk to think we are just material
NPC behavior is when your model of reality adheres to your emotions and not the cold hard uncomfortable facts.
Your existence and even quality of experience is due to the health, survival and function of your central nervous system and its ability to fire it’s electrical circuits.
You are an unbelievable complex electrical being, and you will not live forever.
Where do you get these facts? Richard Dawkins the atheist Pope? You're only an atheist because it's popular and considered intellectual.
>Where do you get these facts?
What I just told you is basic neuroscience that even laymen know.
Yes, you have a soul because of Santa.
What was life like before you existed?
What was life like when you were an infant
Touché you got me
We are literally so fucking concerned that we came up with the Santa Claus thing.
If i were you i'd be terrified by my existence alone btw.
Why be scared of death? It's no different before you were born. I'm only scared of dying but not death itself.
literally the oposite
dying is just temporary pain
non-existence is completely incomprehensible
You are a soul having a human experience, not a human with a soul.
My gfs grandfather died today at the age of 94
My grandmother is in the hospital
Mortality has been on my mind lately anon. Don't let it take away your life
You are afraid of death because you conflate your experience of life with life itself and have likely contributed very little that will endure after that experience ends.
Socrates still changes lives for the better. He is more alive than you are.
Socrates will be forgotten just like everyone else.
All turns to dust.
The fatalistic nihilism inherent in a godless life. You've reached its logical conclusion and have found it wanting.
What's the thing that holds His place in your life? That which you value above all others? Likely that experience that you conflate your life with. Ergo, the end of your experience becomes the end of the most high. Here you are mourning in anticipation of that great loss. The death of god. No need to kill him, as he dies with you.
Cool schizo babble.
You will still die like everyone else.
Shall I speak down to you then?
You're an arrogant fool who has placed himself at the center of the universe. You're here begging for help with a problem you are incapable of dealing with using your current understanding yet you engage in a disingenuous, fruitless rhetoric to defend that same inadequate worldview.
You fear death because all you have is experience. All you have is experience because that's all your naked materialism can give and it's all that it has pointed your direction in life towards. It's a demon that will consume you. It's a path that leads to ever increasing terror at your impending doom. A hell you won't have to die to experience.
the body is the throne of the soul
We can't know how many times we've been here, technically. And then there's also the "open individualism" question. Common sense seems to point to nothingness/no experience being a default, but also consists of approximations on approximations and biases colored in by the history of our cultures, and common sense would also lead someone to think the Earth is flat. This is how I cope. I also act like a man (pretend I'm a man), which by the behavior juice affects how I feel.
How come this never felt like a default to me?
Probably because I'm talking out of my ass. The default for most people throughout human history is probably assuming afterlives exist. What I'm talking about is, open individualism is one thing, some kind of brute fact can't die universe (not just observable universe) where we can and probably will exist every now and then. But that might not be how nature works.
All of what we do is cope for the fact that it's gonna end forever at some point.
Look on the bright side, being immortal would be torture.
>Shall I speak down to you then?
It's called religion, anon.
