It's not something you can detect on a brain scan.

BECAUSE IT'S ALL MADE UP BULLSHIT

      This

cuz too many people would turn out to be trans. too many eggs and reppers are fricking up what people think it means to be fembrained or malebrained. and for the scientists too I bet.

      Fricking schizo moron

All newborns must have a brain scan to determine if they're gonna become gay or trans.

First, because the research about the brain scans is preliminary, and overblown.

Second, because the activists have been pushing for, anyone gets hormones any time they want, with no diagnosis needed.

Third, its VERY likely that there's more than one kind of trans, and that they'll show up differently on scans. This also makes activists go apeshit.

Fourth, scans are expensive, relatively speaking.

But what we SHOULD fricking have by now is for super rich frickers who are seriously questioning whether they would benefit from HRT, to buy scans, so we can collect more data.

Oh we're way beyond that. There's prenatal scans in really terrible countries, with injections that supposedly reduce your chances of being gay or premptive abortion.

Because only straight trans women brain scans resemble a fembrain. Transbians studies show patterns that mirror BDD and schizophrenia.

This is an oversimplification, but if it turns out to hold true, and we can pick out the male emascualtion fetishists who then go nuts when they actually emasculate themselves, it will completely make my day.

it's easier to just ask if you want to be the opposite sex than to get an MRI done, costing hundreds of dollars, and isn't even a good way to determine individual identity.

MRIs don't cost hundreds of dollars to perform. If you are charged hundreds of dollars for its use, you should be up in arms about your medical extortion system.

Just a girl who likes frogs

we're almost there we just don't have the resolution and a big enough dataset of pretransition scans over a long enough time period to diagnose that way yet.

No primary psychiatric disorders can be reliably diagnosed on the basis of brain imaging, much less something like gender dysphoria

you cant even diagnose something like depression or anxiety on a MRI scan. it's simply not that advanced. why do you need a brain scan to validate your troondom?

      Honestly, this.

The unfortunate thing is that there's more data on post-mortem brains than living people's brains. So, it's not super helpful rn

Because male brain looks like male brain
Female brain looks like female brain

I think you get variation if you've got hetero or homosexual attraction.
It's not like the brain scan was going to find all of the parts of your mind that are just society's sexist sentiments about "gender".
