The same reason the current president will be. Shit tier economy, high inflation, high gas prices, oil shortages, high crime, foreign policy blunders, low national morale, the list goes on. Despite also having majorities in both chambers, he didn't get along with top democrats and didn't pass much meaningful legislation.

Yeah, he did sign quite a bit of legislation but it was mostly environmental. And while it was mostly positive, wasn't quite in tune with what the constituency elected him for nor was it the major problem facing the nation.

It’s the first time America has succeeded in foreign policy since the Persian Gulf War. Of course it’s a win for Biden.

You do realize Ukraine's lost about 25% of its territory and Russia won't stop until total victory? Maybe you're living in an alternate reality, but Ukraine hasn't won the war and they never will.

Weapons are pouring into Ukraine’s hands and Ukraine is pushing back Russia. Meanwhile Russia is stagnating and getting wrecked economically. I think a Russia withdrawal to pre war boundaries is a certainty, and in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if Crimea is returned as well.

nagger, Russia started this war on February 24 in control of 10% of Ukraine. On March 1, they held 30%. Today they hold 20%.

That's a net gain of ZERO. The Russians have lost virtually as much ground as they've conquered. To get this zero net gain, it's cost them:

-30,000+ dead, including virtually all of their most elite conventional forces like the VDV and the 4th Guards Tank Division
-Most of their modern equipment either expended, wrecked, stolen, or flat-out abandoned
-Their economy being ruined to the point they're literally in the process of defaulting on their national debt and it's only being kept afloat by unsustainable book-cooking and accounting tricks that make the Nazis and their MEFO scheme seem like a good idea
              -Their freedom
              -Their national honor

And these are just the losses we know about.

nagger, until February 23, I was one of those people 100% in favor of cultivating a positive relationship with Russia, giving it a seat at the table as a Great Power, and slashing defense spending across the board (including NATO). My opinion on this ONLY changed because they decided to chimp out and invade another sovereign nation (that they historically treated like garbage) because of some dumb antiquated 19th Century political theory thought up by an Englishman saying that they have to control everything from Paris to Vladivostok.

I think at this point the base case scenario for Russia is holding onto what they have now, and the worst case scenario is them getting pushed out of the Donbass at a minimum.

Crimea is just at the edge of possibility if Russian logistics or morale completely collapse.

If anything Biden will either be shit on for starting World War III (and presumably destroying America in the process) or NOT starting World War III by bombing the shit out of Russia (as it rightfully deserves to be) and bringing a decisive conclusion to the Invasion of Ukraine.

Now, I'll be honest with you. I fucking hate Biden, and if he was assassinated tomorrow (I'm not suggesting any of you do that btw), I'd go to the nearest bar and buy everyone a round in celebration. But there is no easy course of action when it comes to Ukraine. Allowing Russia to win would result in unacceptable loss of face, supplying the Ukrainians but not intervening directly burns diplomatic bridges with Russia and is really a half-measure, intervening directly will likely lead to a full-scale nuclear exchange between NATO and Russia. We would be in the exact same conundrum if any other president was in office.

Well the primary differences are that Carter was a political outsider who was shut out by the machine and turned out to be an ineffectual leader mostly due to being too honest and not a Beltway schmoozer. Biden is ineffective because he's a completely braindead and senile puppet of the Beltway political class/DNC leadership who likely can't even decide what suit he's wearing on any given day, much less make actual policy decisions or provide leadership.

Serious answer: He was an outsider and a micromanager, both to his detriment politically. The establishment didn’t like him so he couldn’t be super effective. He ordered the disastrous ‘Black Hawk Down’ operation in Somalia, which was a collective “Why the fuck can’t we do anything right?” moment for the nation. Iran hostage crisis was another big factor.

Because he was followed by Reagan, part of the Reagan myth of American greatness returning is slandering Jimmy Carter who embodies the negative ideals that were holding back American greatness.

Which is ironic considering Reagan was a simpering retard who was more left than Carter in basically every way that matters, yet he is celebrated as a hero of conservatism for reasons that are as baffling as they are insubstantial. At the end of the day it is all because Americans are truly stupid and prefer TV to reality, so they decided to combine them.

Aside from being a stage 4 corporate stooge that turned Florida into a Thunderdome with Covid, and privatizing so much of the prisons that the majority of our industry comes from prison slave labor.

Leaving that humid shithole was a fucking blessing

            >Aside from being a stage 4 corporate stooge
He’s objectively the most anti-corporate governor in the county.
            >that turned Florida into a Thunderdome with Covid,
            What does this even mean?
            >and privatizing so much of the prisons that the majority of our industry comes from prison slave labor.
            Sauce?
            >Leaving that humid shithole was a fucking blessing
Good. Hopefully you moved back to a blue state.

there is a certain type of person who is a moderate and doesnt like trump because he lacks bourgeoise decorum, he isnt presidential.

Trump has no chance of winning cause he can never get these moderates, he is no longer an outsider, and his first term was a joke

the moderates will vote for biden to preserve muh democracy

thats why you need someone who appeals both to maga and moderates

            enter: desantis

Again, Biden barely won at his most popular and Trump won independents in 2016. Biden’s current approval with independents is in the 30s. And Trump constantly outpaces DeSantis in 2024 polls against Biden

You're demonstrating the very reason why Desantis won't be able to win moderates, because the things that Republicans love nowadays are the same things that moderates hate.

              >he doesn't know that the police in Florida only get their budget from seizures
              >he doesn't know that you need to pay 200 dollars to get on the waiting list for a free public defender in Florida.
What a shock, Republicuck doesn't know a fucking thing about the freak who's knob he is polishing.

              >good for you moving back to a state with decent roads and functioning public utilities and a police force that isn't actively hostile to free citizenry because they are bandit thugs wearing blue and trying to fund their own bloated system through legalized theft
Thanks dude, hope you stop being such a well broken slave that you wise up and run away too.

Desantis has the same problem that Trump had in 2020, in that there's no reason for anyone outside of the MAGA crowd to vote for him. The Republicans would probably need to run their own version of Joe Biden to win in 2024, someone whose greatest asset is being inoffensive.

Biden won by like a combined 45,000 votes in 2020 at his most popular. Have you seen his approval ratings in the swing states now? If the election were held today, he’d lose to just about anybody, Trump included

There is nothing about Desantis that appeals to a moderate, and there's plenty in his record that can be absolutely eviscerated by Democrat attack campaigns.
