Linux uses don't usually care how long it takes to install something, because they are jobeless NEETs who live in their mom's basements

        >just run muh apt install
I've run into so many packages that required a different meme server than the only ones in the system, and it is often a nightmare to sort it out. Also sometimes package names change, just look at fucking docker.

from the mac side, FOSS generally doesn't work well. It does work though, so if you need it, it's there, but it works differently than native apps, is always clunky, and let's not even talk about the visuals.
So I'd say it probably is easier to use on linux.

is this really how you install stuff on macOS or is this just a meme? what's the fucking point? did they find they it's easier for boomers or something?

      Anonymous

yes you just drag an application to the applications folder. Or whereever you want to run it from. There are also installers.
As for the rest of your questions, they are stupid and I won't address them.

how is it stupid, you fucking idiot? how is this better than just pressing install buttom? are you the spamming pathetic lowlife that post these threads constantly?
        >yeah bro you just drag the icon bro
no shit, dumbass. I see that. what's the point of your comment if you are not gonna answer the question.

I did answer the question you stupid dumbfuck. You drag the goddam application to the fucking folder. That's it.
Everything else you asked 'is this a meme' 'whats the fucking point' etc are stupid questions because you're a stupid motherfucker who posts stupid shit to get attention from people that you desperately hope will like you.
Now I've answered the question twice you stupid fuck. Maybe quit fingering your asshole all day and try to learn something before you post again.

Apps in MacOS are just folders that the GUI pretends are single executables. You install them by copying them wherever you want and clicking on them. 9 times out of 10 though they go into the Applications folder.

I recently learned that to install something on macos from a file you need to click said file and then a window opens where you need to drag and drop app into a folder (ignore whatever is cytosplore, just the first gif I found).
    What the fuck?
This can't be real, this looks like some shit from a movie where they needed to show that hackerman installs something on a computer.

not sure. why does macOS attract so many child sex offenders that it needed to implement a filter to stop its userbase from uploading child porn?

Well it WAS closed source, at one point. But still, to get an executable on gayOS you gotta fucking compile it. Compared to a 1 click install on all the Linux distros worth using.
