Why is everyone so incurious?

Does it ever trouble you how much "regular people" give basically zero thought to the larger questions of life? How little they contemplate the purpose of the world and their place in it? We all have this incredible capacity for creative expression. We have these amazing bodies that could take us on epic adventures. Instead it seems like all anybody focuses on is making fake money numbers go up and eating. I'm not trying to say everyone except me is an npc or golem, I don't believe that. But it's like 90% of the population looks at the world and says "Yeah whatever." It's as if they decided to just turn off the part of their brain that wants something more.

Yeah, but I think I'm just used to normal people being that way that I haven't even thought about it in a long time.
Because I've always questioned that stuff since I was a kid. And it frustrated me a lot that nobody else did. So now I just kind of expect that the average person makes no sense to me.

I wonder why that is though. Just NPC's?

Yes it does, but don't let it get to you too much. It's not entirely their fault. We've gone through brain washing all of our lives to be taught not how to think but what to think. Then we're thrown into 40+ hour work weeks and further brainwashing to believe what we really need to be happy is that shiny new toy we can't afford yet. Best thing you can do is just try to use your creativity to wake people up

I have this memory from 4th grade of wanting to read "Dracula" and my teacher at the time making this huge stink about it with my parents, like I was doing something wrong and in turn they were doing something wrong allowing it. I think she thought she was "protecting" me from something unsavory. My whole grade school education was little experiences like that, being told what was acceptable to learn and what wasn't.

What's my point? I don't really know. Just that I learned early on that school was never going to give me the books I wanted to read. The curriculum wasn't going to teach the things I wanted to know.

Now I'm an adult and seeing the impact of that on my peers. I see women desperate to marry, not for love, but just because their "biological clock is ticking" and they're running out of time to be a viable breeder. People stop searching for a purpose and instead just search for a paycheck. All the men stay indoors and play fricking video games all goddamn day.

      >polddit complaining about lack of creativity

Basically all of EerieWeb's content is generated on /misc/ and everything else here is derivative. Creativity isn't a problem over there.

I dunno anon, I'm with you on all of that except this 1 point here. I actually think people are addicted to the internet and video games because something inside them knows it's closer to how true reality is supposed to be.
Because in a sense you're in control of your own little reality (your computer) and you get to _choose_ how to ineract with others.

For the most part anything that gets shared online belongs to everyone, information is free (despite all the dipshits trying to change that).

Online games are all rendered on your own machine, but you allow a "space" for your machine to have the illusion of being controlled by others so that you can interact with them in a virtual world.
I think that's what reality actually is. But dark realities (like this one) are what you get when that "space" grows too large, and you forget that you're supposed to ultimately be in control.
The internet is like small emulation of higher reality dynamics within our own.

          [...]
And it just occurred to me, Social Media is like a perfect example of how dark realities form.

Everyone on social media is totally free to ignore everything, but they get too caught up in it. They forget it's just words on a screen, and has no meaning they don't assign to it.
They become _bound_ to it in a sense. It starts to feel _real_ to them. That's what happened to souls in this world we live in. And it became dark (when the illusion seems more real than what's actually real).

Maybe. I shouldn't be too harsh on the vidja people. I am one. On some level I think we all believe those worlds serve as substitute for a reality you probably *should* be living, whatever it is. But either we're too afraid to live it ourselves, or we can never find the space to live it in. So instead we just do...whatever it is we're doing.

But really, is this all anyone thinks the world is? There's no Trojan War for us to fight in? No hydra to slay? No major secrets to learn? I refuse to believe the point of our lives was just to plink away at various blue collar and white collar jobs paying bills until we die.

            >But really, is this all anyone thinks the world is?
Well like I said, there's higher reality. And I think it's insanely more interesting than anything we're even capable of imagining.
People dive into video games because of exactly what you just said. They want to (even for a short while) experience something other than the idiotic "grind" of this reality.
Even if they grind in a video game, at least they get to choose to do it, instead of being forced to play a pointless game they've already outgrown (which is what "daily life" does).

That's why I'm so confident this reality is a cage of some kind. Because it literally is. Every day you can feel the shackles constraining your soul from doing anything even remotely fulfilling. And not just constraining, but then forcing it against your will to do things all day long that you find pointless so you can't even fricking dream of anything better.
It's absolutely a slave reality, and a very horrific one. The horror cannot be fully appreciated until one has some degree of awareness of their own soul.

But we'll get out. There's a reason it all has to be hidden. And if you're feeling the pain of it, then your soul has already begun to see the truth, and then awakening cannot be stopped.

Actually a perfect description of realities. The internet day by day is starting to emulate our reality and not the higher realities. Low trust, increase in regulations. In 2011 you could create an account for any website and not have to provide a phone number or other personal info, now its mandatory for everything including making a gmail account. Low trust is also another factor as the demand for cybersecurity is getting higher, while it creates jobs, its a sign of decay.

The men staying indoors and playing video games all day are smart, they are taking money away from the system, away from single moms and old retired NPC's who voted our economy into the dumpster then blamed young men who never voted. It actually pisses off politicians so much that they started to tax video game purchases in my state. It's the normies who go out and work a 9-5 every day that are keeping the system propped up. We need to just let it all collapse. Because it's literally scary to be curious. Dangerous to what they call their "mental health", the truth is. In some countries, it's even dangerous to their physical health to question the regime or even the physics/metaphysics put forth by the regime.

Even if you spent your whole life from childhood curious about bigfoot and scared of aliens, when it comes time to stick to your guns or fold, it takes balls to stick to your guns in this materialist society. Everything seems like it has to be justified by material gaain, so they program people aroudn that and always make the right thing look crazy. I have gotten ok with it, but it took awhile to get the inner resolve.

You have to remember that most cultures tell you to be a golem of your parents and most parenting aged people are materialist husks raised on world war blood money, so those people have a hurdle if believing in God is treated how being gay used to be.

Curiosity is a learned behavior that must be developed during a very short window between age 1 and 2. It is literally impossible to teach an adult curiosity. The real answer as to why the normies are not curious is very simple. They are not trained because no one actually loves them.

      Anonymous

Curiosity is quite natural behavior. The problem is that there are psycho or overprotective parents who punish their children for showing any kind of such behavior at those formative years.

If you are actually loved by your parents, they will engage you in a highly specific way. This engagement teaches you that other people are a valuable source of information. If the child is neglected during this short timeframe, they essentially learn helplessness instead of curiosity. They will be defined by either helplessness or curiosity and it's basically all inhereted.

I don't think this is true. I was severely neglected and abused and am still exceptionally curious.

The opposite may be true. Trauma in childhood seems to lead to more critical thinking skills.
For instance, I was neglected and in a limited way, abused by my mother and my father died at a critical time. This trauma may have contributed to my development as a deeply critical person.
My fiancee likewise was emotionally abused by both her parents all her life and is one of the few women I have met who can think on a higher level.
That said, my brother ended up trooning out and is autistic, so something else is at play here. I hesitate to call him a lemming, but he is deeply vulnerable to peer pressure.

It takes no time at all for a race of men to devolve into shit flinging apes when there is no love. Basically the bulk of what passes for human are actually goblins. If they were human, they would have been taught curiosity and they would in turn teach it to their kids, but they aren't human. What you call normies are basically demons who have adapted over evolutionary time for evil.

If you spend any time around average American moronBlack folk you find that they are chronically, impossibly distracted. To the point that any time you suggest genuinely original thoughts or ideas to them, especially about their own problems or to things THEY bring up in "conversation" (read: distraction babble), they are incredibly impressed and immediately drawn to you. You don't even have to be smart or intelligent yourself particularly, just have the most basic common sense and detached perspective, enough to see things as they are, and people will act amazed at you and your ideas. because they ARE amazed, such clairvoyance is totally alien to them and they're too distracted to even consider that the distraction itself IS a distraction, or IS a problem to them.
watch any average person who fits this criteria for any length of time and wait how many seconds it takes for a restless, mindless tick to take place. especially yawning. i don't what it is but dumb, stupidfrick brainless people just love pretending to yawn all the time. they're so fricking stupid and restless that they have to fill every waking second with their own personally-created distractions for their own fricking brain because they can't handle those interludes of silence where the cognitive dissonance becomes faintly audible.
SmartPhones are the most ingenious political tool ever invented and will probably go on to define the next century of human history and cultural development - strictly in regards to the profane, of course.

      Anonymous

You experience this because you bore people so much.
They yawn and get distracted because you make them feel awkward, because even though they give you non verbal clues, like twitching, and yawning, you keep talking and boring them, which creates an awkward feel to the situation.
Then, they fawn over you like you are the most brilliant one in the world, to give you positive reinforcement to get you to stop talking and making them feel so awkward, since their outward signs of discomfort didn't work.
Is this a uniquely American behavior? Maybe in your culture, people are not this way?

Don't get too hung up on it, I'm just being a clown. You'll build your vocabulary, and thereby spelling, over time. As for grammar (such as comma placement and the use of semicolons), pay extra attention to where punctuation marks go in text with good structure. I recommend reading through English novels for practice, especially if you can find a novel in your own language that is also translated into English.

    >Instead it seems like all anybody focuses on is making fake money numbers go up and eating.

Their consciousness is stuck in the Muladhara chakra, or the root chakra which is based on survival. They are no different from animals. All they think about is money and food for the basic necessities for merely surviving.

Because instead of contemplating hypotheticals that practically won't lead anywhere 99.97% of the time, the average person socialises, has hobbies related to socialising, follows what's popular and also has light hobbies like video games or cars or anything that don't require heavy thinking and doesn't lead to existential dread.

Or you could say they think about things to a moderate, healthy extent and we are wasting time on things that will remain uncertain for a long time. They are the majority and they would probably side with the latter interpretation instead of yours. I simply don't think there's anything wrong with the masses.

I feel like it has a lot to do with the amount of “real world” pressures we face, like graduating, putting food on the table, relationship pressures

The empty god voice doesn’t help either. No really conscious guide is here to tell us “I’m god and this is what this all means”

The government is artificially selecting for evil in order to profiteer from the crisis. The people have the mindset of a slave because the government wants them that way. They have been taught to believe that they are powerful because their government is bloated and totalitarian. The government has literally replaced God as they symbol of their pride. People kill their family members because they get into heated arguments about completely fictional political theater that only exists to distract them from literal rape and usury of the most obscene and satanic variety. They kill each other because they subscribe to two different controlled opposition narratives. That's how fricked these ~~*people*~~ are. Ignore them. Let the dead bury their dead.

I hate my friends. They change the subject or ignore me whenever I go on tangents besides the newest trendy material slave masters distributed propaganda/psyop goyslop, and then I have to play along or else they look at me weird and give me the dreaded "uh, ok..". Its like they literally shut their brain off to anything that would make them think deeper about themselves and the zeitgeist, but Im willing to put up with it until I can find someone with similar mindset to me.

People who fail to learn curiosity are essentially slaves to evil and the curious people are chosen by God to be free from the bondage of sin. Only through curiosity can the truth be attained.

Its not npc this or that. They're just stupid.

    Idiocy is intellectual laziness.
They either think they know, or they have an answer or opinion that suits them. Then they move on to there mundane shit and when the topic comes up they regurgitate their prerehersed opinions and ideas.
Its not they dont dont contemplate it or cant. They just wont.

The mind is not trying to seek truth. It is trying to survive.
Humans are animals with weaponised dellusion.

Most people are apathetic because they're not paid enough, everything is too expensive, the planet is dying, governments are openly corrupt, and there's too much profit in either making things worse or keeping them the same

The planet is not dying. This is a lie. The planet is, as always, thriving. They lie and say the inversion of truth for lots of reasons including, in this case, demoralization.
