Why are those people in charge so generic? Those mf are so creatively bankrupt that they’re now trying a 2010 revival…
Why won’t they heck off and let younger blood with actual original ideas take their shot at it?

Despite the zoomer zeitgeist pushing for more authenticity from their entertainment choices, nobody actually wants to apply such authentic imagery upon themselves, and as such they lack true individuality.

Rather than set trends, they simply follow the lead of the generation before them, which itself is following its own trend of nostalgia and reminiscence. Eventually it’ll loop inward upon itself and there will come a generation of children who yearn for the feeling they held only a week prior.

      I largely agree with you.

On a side note – True creatives need to be somewhat insulated from the current zeitgeist in order for creativity to flourish. But the current zeitgeist is pretty all-consuming so very few genuine creatives are around these days and able to flourish, while trying to compete with ultra capitalism. They also have trouble connecting with normies at this point because the gap is ever widening between the NPC crowd and the awakened.

Try talking with any HS art teacher
Zoomers will literally not start drawing untill they are given direct instructions
It’s legit creepy, they will sit there with pen and paper on their desk with the assigment being to draw anything they want and will give you a blank stare waiting for you to tell them what to draw

because you have a bunch of stupids who think it is groundbreaking to look for an advert or operating system and assign a whole aesthetic to it. None of them are even talented at forming their opinions so it’s always some dogshit prose or ‘this just gives me such a feeling… when things were le simple….’
yes, that iPod advert that came out when you were 4 must speak so much to you. just keep scrolling through old adverts and magazines until you find something everyone forgot about and you can pretend you did something.
by the end of this year people will be trying to force skinny cropped chinos, white trainers and listening to happy by pharell williams but ‘ironically’ every single trend for the past 5 years has been the fashion equivalent of soiface, trying something just stupid enough that you can hide under irony and deride anybody who questions your Shein cropped zip hoodie and low waist jeans as ‘you just wouldnt get it bro’ millenials are just as bad because they eat that shit up by going on about how much they loved it back in the old days of 17 hecking years ago because they’re all so afraid of ageing that they full on larp as le wise grandpas even though they’re 33 and have no children

2020s fashion is actually great. Infinitely better than the trash of the 2000s/early 2010s. Millennials had the worst fashion.

What are you talking about, the Indie/Hipster phase still influences fashion to this day, no one bothered with thrift store clothing apart from actual strugglers beforehand.

Because people buy it. It’s seriously so disappointing, I went to the mall today and you go in to most stores and it’s all generic low-quality collared shirts and sweaters, or T-shirts with pop culture references on them. When designers cannot even bother to actually make designs for their own company’s T-shirts anymore, you know it’s hecked.

what do you wanna dress up for? the super rich are as tasteless as ever while the medium high earners are manchildren who would wear spiderman or ramones shirts to the office if they could.

Every freak is lost in the noise of his deviance. Every norm as at an all time conformity. There is no one information source for us to recognize say Will Smith the Fresh Prince’s wacky clothes resonate in JoJo

It has to do with the fact that nowadays, to participate in a culture, you doesn’t have to be one.

I saw someone talk about this once on how Internet changed subculture and that video explained well, far better that I can do.
But think about that fact for a second. Think about how to be a Goth, Emo or whatever, you doesn’t really have to participating in the culture itself to really be one. But back then you HAVE to be IN it in order to be one.
And that’s the most important of them all. Culture.

Fashion is only soulful because there legitimate culture to back it up.
But when it’s not? it’s boring, it’s soulless and it’s empty.
it’s just the clothes with nothing else.
      there are no personality, nothing.

anyway.. you guys like big boobs?

So then be the change you want to see. Be creative and inspire others to explore their personal taste and step out of their comfort zone.

I have an idea, its futuristic, i call it "alien core" you would dress how you think an alien would look. Lizard people, tall whites, greys, etc

People are stuck in the past, they need to be thinking about the future

fashion stores are min maxing and just want to sell low effort things not take risks

    people don’t have money

people just want to be comfy

internet/social media means people’s taste are homogenized
