Because unless I want to spend a year reverse image searching for things, all you can buy is logos on hoodies or the most entry level designer polyester crap (those gucci tracksuits or prada shirts). The stuff I like doesn’t really get counterfeits made of it because I don’t have the taste of a 16 year old chink.

I do and they’re great as long as you don’t take them too seriously – I’d instantly tell anyone they are fake if they asked but for the 99.9% of people who just give a passing glance why not look good.

I take them too seriously because my whole self esteem is situated on the giant tortoise called “expensive shit I buy”. I do pay attention to people wearing things that look like designers. Part of me is judging me and making fun of them, but sometimes I’m actually jelly for their stuff because those items still look kinda cool even being fake.

I realized authenticity didn’t matter when I got head from the alt chick at a function just because I looked edgy wearing a vetements hoodie and chrome hearts hebrewelry. Both were reps btw, so if the hot alt girl doesn’t care then I imagine no one else will

if your copy doesn’t have a branding identifier it’s basically fine, you can genuinely argue that you just like the look of the piece or something like that.
if you insist that it must have the logo you are being disingenuous if you claim anything other than you want people to think you bought the real thing.
narcissist poorfags will argue otherwise but they are hecked in the head.

        >You see, you’re actually insecure because you don’t wear fake versions of status symbol clothes for the sole purpose of appearing richer than you actually are

Because "reps are just as good" are a narrative pushed by local Zhaos to sell even worse shoes than the ones they copy.

I’ve bought rep shoes and they’re pretty 1:1. I mean when you work at a Nike factory and own a pair of air maxes, it’s not that hard to fire up a sewing machine and makes some yourself

Dude, they definitely aren’t the same thing, even if the construction aligns accurately they might use different sources for their materials. Another thing is that I’m not sure if the price difference can be justified for the quality difference. Say, you going to pay more for having a leather with different texture or stitches have different sheen – is that worth it?

Not worth the hassle most of the time. Ok for a couple of pieces you really like the design of and can’t afford but buying logo reps to flex is stupid.
